Draw attention to your subject by creating a smooth subtle swirl to your edges with the Lensbaby Twist 60 Optic with Straight Body available here with a Sony E mount. This optic is compatible with the Optic Swap System and performs best when used with the included straight body.This full-frame 60mm f/2.5 lens features an internal 12-blade diaphragm for smooth out-of-focus areas. You can manually change the aperture from f/2.5 to f/22 utilizing the dial on the front of the lens and you can manually focus on subjects as close as 18".

When shooting at a wider aperture, the Twist 60's swirled effect places more emphasis on your centered subject in full focus. As you stop down, the center area gets larger allowing you to bring more of your image into exact focus. The Twist 60 offers 46mm front threads for any filters you would like to use to further enhance your image.

The Twist 60 works best and is recommended for use with full frame cameras. Much of the swirled blur gets lost when using the optic with an APS-C sensor.

If offers a very nice and nostalgic effect that's hard to replicate with modern lenses, but the build quality is very poor, really plasticky and the mount doesn't mount perfectly well. there's a bit of give in it

I was surprised how sharp this lens is in the middle. Bokeh is fabulous and swirly. Fun Portrait lens.

ThLomographyis competes with the Petzval from Lomography. Lensbabie's Twist 60 is a stop slower which may account for a lesser swirly effect. On the positive the detent f stop system is easier to use. than searching for a slide in f stop in a pile. Once you decide on the effect you want then it is simple to pre-focus then move the rig forward and backwards for critical focus.

I use Petzval lenses on large format, and while I don't know if this is a true Petzval formula, the effect is similar. On a digital camera, it's a lot of fun to use. The lens is small, light and quite sharp in the centre. At the right distances and wide-open, it will give a pronounced swirl around the edges, which looks great sometimes, and sometimes can be a bit much. So some experimenting with different distances and apertures is needed to find what you like. I've adapted it easily to a Fuji GFX (yes it covers) and a Sony A7r, and it works perfectly. Use Aperture priority for exposure, manual focus with focus assist, and play around with the aperture on the lens. Lovely, sharp, fun and never routine. A great lens to have in your kit bag!

Very cool lens! Just wish I could autofocus but such a cool effect and connects easily to my Canon R5 with the lens adaptor.

Does the lens support built-in metering?

Our lenses have no electronics in them. If you shoot in Aperture Priority mode your in-camera light meter should work but everything else will be manual.

I just order one here on B&H. HOPE it does Come with lens caps. On the Lensbaby site is says it comes with front and rear caps but here on B&H the in the box description doesn't show that??? In fact they offered me a $10 Lensbaby front cap as a recommended accessory. Guess I'll find out when it arrives next Tuesday.

The Twist 60 was designed for full-frame cameras. Technically the Twist 60 will work on your camera model but a lot of the effect will be cropped out.
