Best Zoom lens ever made

I just made the leap into Hasselblad (X1D II) and one of my biggest reasons was that Hasselblad had this lens. I come from being a Nikon / Carl Zeiss ZF.2 user. I wanted a camera system that has a zoom lens that can give me ZEISS quality in one lens. And as much as people THINK GFX's rival Hasselblad, they don't. Like comparing a Corvette with a Ferrari. Please. This lens is like having a : 35, 50, 85 Zeiss lenses in one. Plus all the other focal lengths. Only downside is the aperture. You'll need more light in low light situations otherwise you'll have to push you X1D's ISO. The autofocus is excellent. Exactly how it permormed on a Hasselblad H6D.

One Lens does all.

Use this lens for everything. Nothing bad about this lens except for it's so heavy. Other than that, it's a perfect lens.

It is a very good lens but heavy.

If I could only have one medium format lens, this would be it. Crystal clear images from portraits to wide landscapes. Not light, but no good lens is. Easy to zoom and focus is razor sharp.

Perhaps Hasselblad's Finest Lens

I've tested this lens this against HC 35mm, 50mm and 80mm primes and found it equally as good (if not better) and the AF is the fastest I've experienced on a Hasselblad lens! It's heavy, but I find it a lightweight alternative to the HC 50-110 zoom and can spend the day shooting hand-held without any problems. Perfect match with the cropped H4D-40 sensor.

I would buy this product again and again

In the studio, the focal length range of this lens is ideal. It allows cropping in camera, without having to re-position your stand or tripod. It also covers a range that gives you options for perspective effects in your images that can add impact. You can use wide angle to create impact through converging lines or exaggerated perspective, or take advantage of selective focus by using the longest focal length and wider apertures. While it is a beast of a lens, and pricey, it's going to save you time and still give you Hasselblad-quality images.

Perfect for studio and well lit location shooting. I'm very happy with its 35 mm to 90 mm zoom range. Sharpness is quite well balanced if you are not mad for sharpness on product c/u's. If you are, than get an 80 mm or even better a 100 mm.
