Reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB Color Space
An IPS panel with a wide color gamut reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB color space so images shot in RAW can be converted to Adobe RGB or images shot in Adobe RGB will be displayed correctly. The wide color gamut also ensures that the monitor reproduces almost the entire ISO-coated and US web-coated CMYK color spaces used in printing as well as 93% of the DCI used in post production.
Factory Calibrated
This display's gamma level is pre-calibrated in the factory to ensure that it can deliver the smoothest color gradations in your images.
Uniformity from Corner to Corner
Equipped with Eizo's patented Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology, this monitor ensures that the brightness and chromaticity is even across the whole screen. It also counterbalances the effects from temperature changes on color temperature and brightness for stable image display.
I/P Conversion for Flicker-Free Display
The HDMI input supports I/P (interlace/progressive) conversion for converting interlace signals from TV and video into progressive signals for flicker-free display.
Built-In Carrying Handle
A carrying handle on the back of the monitor allows you to easily move it from one location to another.
ColorNavigator 6 Color Management Software
ColorNavigator 6 lets you easily calibrate your monitor. Simply select your desired presets or assign values and the built-in sensor will use the monitor's look-up-table and create an ICC profile within minutes.

EIZO CS2420 Reviews

3 year review

Warning: this monitor will commonly develop pink screen edges after 2-3 years of use. Despite the 5-year warranty, and being under the usage hours, Eizo will not replace it and customer service is practically non-existent. I can no longer edit photos using the full screen because of the discolored edges. Will soon have to replace it. Shame. Not much point in paying extra for this brand and their warranty when it does not cover this sort of defect.

Excellent monitor and the choice for most on-set professional digital techs. Great quality and colors. BenQ is significantly cheaper but the quality can be iffy at times. I bought it for my own use and to rent out to clients, most of which are used to having EIZOs on set. Easy to transport and travel with at 24". Recommend A

in these days you have to write something positive.... I got this monitor for replacment of my old samsung 19inch 4:3 monitor.... what can I say? the first impression was - it was like very mininalistic nothing that that stood out - but I like that. electrostatic buttons and simple black lcd monitor.... when I connect this lcd to my PC I was impressed how much nice uniforme screen was when opening a black white web page for example. really nice! Sharpness is not spectacular like 4k monitor but good enough I would say little above average in small white text viewed on dark grey background showes this is clearly not a 4k monitor ( like try looking this screen in fb in dark mode and a white small text!) the sharpnes increses if you are looking at white background with black text! But looking to a images and videos is more like you forget that you look something that are combine with pixels! also I discover that this screen is best vieved from 90cm from the eyes - it's really hard to tell diffrence campared to retina displays, and if you looking to images you can really come closer! images has very nice gradiation from total black to really white portion of the images. If resolution is somehow nothin spectacular, the diffrent story is with colours - they just pop out and it's cristal clear vieveing images taken in adobe rgb colour space! This is simply the most rainbow and lifelike picture that I have seen on a digital screen! It comes with 5 year warranty hovewer after 250 hours of use I got pixel defect on screen- after mailing to the seller they told me I got subpixel defect in a range what is exceptable! I discovered that this is the case cuz this monitor ( and I think all coloredge semms to follow this quality) follow a quality oin ISO standard: ISO 9241-307 Class I which means It's the tolerance of 2 subpixel to be defective, since this has a 0.27mm X0,27mm it's more visible than if this happens in 4k display where the diplay has .16mmX.16mm the size of pixel. This subpixel hovever is not a deal breaker nad it's visible if I stick a nose into the the screen on 50cm. ergonomic vise this monitor is top notch. I really like the menus to! simplistic yet sofisticated. Contrast is really nice no matter what lumanince I am using, and black level is low ( albeit not oled absolut black). I haven't yet tested contrast with calorimeter but I found on internet that the contrast is somehow between 795 to 830:1 which is really good for excelent uniformity - I figure it out lcd monitors have problem either with good contrast or good uniformity, this monitor hasn't got either of this too which is a good indication of the quality that eizo engeneer put out! I gues only really upgrade would be to buy a good oled monitor! delta e and other colour erros are well below what my eyes can detect ( I figure it out it's more like under 1 delta e nubmer in some reports!). so in the end: if you are colour purist do not hestitate to buy this monitor, avoid if you are sharpness junkie.

A great replacement for my 12 year old 21 Inch Eizo.

I've only had this new Eizo for a short time and it is a keeper for sure. The colors are are what they should be, sharp and crisp, the color on my photographs just pop. I hope this one lasts as long as the first.

Purchased two of these and bought a X-Rite color calibration tool so I could tune one specifically for print and the other for web design. Have had them for a few weeks now and everything is working smoothly.

For anyone doing color critical work, you need to be able to stand behind the accuracy of your work, and there is no way to do it without a serious monitor that you keep profiled. These Eizos are a great combination of price point and utility.

CG2420 versus CS2420. Which is better for still photography and video and CAD?
Asked by: m peter
The CG2420 for still photography, video, and CAD would be ideal. The CG2420 has a true 10-Bit panel so the adobe color gamut is represented correctly as well as 98% of DCI-P3 gamut. Also with the EIZO ColorEdge CS2420 24" 16:10 IPS Monitor's built in calibration sensor will maintain color accuracy more consistently over the products life span. However for CAD applications a 2560x1440 or even 3840x2160 resolution is often recommended.

question

Tossing up between this and the BenQ PV270. Any advice?
Asked by: Paul
I just purchased the Eizo. Although I haven't evaluated calibration, everything about this monitor appears to be top-notch. I would have preferred to purchased the BenQ for much less, but after doing much research, the Eizo was a clear winner regarding quality and consistency. I think you can get an awesome BenQ, but from what I've read, getting a good one is luck-of-the-draw. I simply wasn't ready to throw the dice hoping to get a good BenQ. Also pay attention to warranty and customer service for each.
