IT WORKS!
Not an imposing size & I used it with skepticism, however it did surprisingly start my 'standby' pickup that would not crank over on its indeed dead battery. The pickup fired right up so not sure just how long the Jump Plus would keep cranking if the engine was reluctant to start. The only use I have had with the Jump Plus so far, not sure where or when I will use the air pump but, did try it out just to make sure it worked. Great emergency tool, especially in this so-far very cold winter. Couldn't find the instructions on how to brew a cup of coffee with it. . . .

Bargain peace-of-mind
Delivered within 24 hours! Came fully charged. Inflating a completely flat tire (i.e., broken bead) with the mini compressor is unlikely but it will repressurize a tire that is low (3psi/minute claimed) and it will inflate your space-saver spare to the correct pressure at about 2psi/minute. Both the compressor and charger/jumper are as easy to operate as can be expected. Don't wait until you're in the middle of a dark nowhere to read the instructions to operate the units.

Will leave you stranded
This seemed like a nice set when I purchased it. But yesterday, I finally tried it in the field, to help jump-start a motorist whose SUV had a dead battery. The Jump Starter was too weak because the solid-state breaker kept tripping before it could charge the SUV's battery. After the breaker trips, you have to disconnect the clamp and reconnect it. We gave up after about 20 times, then resorted to using regular jumper cables.

Too weak
I purchased this set in red color last year. The kit looks nice, because it is organized in a polyethylene carrying case. Fit and finish on the power pack and air compressor are mediocre. The big problem is the built-in 400 ampere circuit breaker. That sounds like a lot of current, but the breaker trips immediately when I tried to start a pickup-truck engine. The same happened while trying to jump-start an SUV. Each time it trips, I had to disconnect everything and wait a few seconds for it to reset. After I tried it about 15 times, I gave up and got a jump from somebody else. BTW, the air compressor seems to work okay, and the power pack can be used to power USB devices. But it fails miserably for jump-starting.

I've already used it several times from jump starting cars to recharging cell phones, ipads, ipods, and wireless speakers. i bought 4 more and gave them away as gifts, great item to have around

Lot of power on this little battery.
I didn't think that this item was able to start a complete dead battery and it did, and after that I was able to inflate a tire complete flat and the battery only lost two light levels. The compressor is very slow to inflate a big tire, took like 10 minutes but very powerful.
I am very pleased with this item, the quality on the clamps is very good, overall looks good.

I bought the same one a couple of years ago and it has performed great. Battery is reliable �- holds a charge well. I can charge a phone several times on it and did once have the opportunity to jumpstart a car battery with it - it was only partially charged but still worked like a charm.

WINTER FIRST AID KIT
It actually start a car with dead battery. Complete surprise. Have not had a long track record with it's use yet, reason for only 4 stars. Used only once to start my granddaughter's car. Made purchase to give some degree of backup, especially during winter driving. Great concept.
