The bx_panEQ from Brainworx is a panoramic EQ plug-in that allows you to separately EQ or reposition an instrument within a full mix, without affecting instruments panned to other positions in the stereo panorama. It is offered as a precise and powerful tool to help you sculpt the stereo field to your liking, while mixing or mastering.

At the heart of the bx_panEQ is a Focus control for each filter. It adjusts how wide the filter effect will be in the stereo panorama, allowing for broad-stroke or surgically precise adjustments in your mix. This lets you EQ a crash cymbal buried in a stereo mix without affecting other slices of the stereo field or move a dead-center lead synth to the right or left of the sound stage. Music producers can stretch the width of an acoustic guitar track by boosting higher frequencies at pan positions from left to right or automate bands to fly across the spectral analyzer for unique stereo filter effects. Mastering engineers can discretely equalize localized spectral imbalances to correct a lopsided mix.

The panoramic spectral analyzer provides intuitive visual controls, displaying the frequency spectrum and the amplitude of your EQ boosts & cuts across the stereo field, in real time. You can also adjust the stereo position and relative gain of each band directly from within the display. Furthermore, the software features a resizable interface, allowing you to increase the size of the analyzer to comfortably work on larger displays.

Three parametric bell-curve filters each featuring gain, frequency, Q, pan, and focus control
Independently boost or cut EQ at discrete pan positions in the stereo field
Cut and boost at the same frequency on different points of the panorama to reposition instruments within a full mix
Innovative Focus control precisely regulates the panoramic width of your EQ adjustments
Proportional Q filter design prevents progressive EQ boosts & cuts from spilling over into adjacent bands
Color-coded panoramic spectral analyzer plots changes to pan position, frequency and amplitude for stereo content in real time as you make EQ adjustments
Visual aid of spectral analyzer makes mix decisions easy while providing direct control over stereo position and gain of each band
Each filter can be independently bypassed or soloed – when soloed, the signal difference is auditioned, providing critical monitoring on processing
Create panning filter effects with automation.
Use plug-in on mono signals to open up frequencies into stereo channels, adding clarity and width
"Stretch" sounds by progressively boosting low to high, left to right or vise-versa to create a wider sound on instruments like guitar and keyboard
Resizable interface allows work on larger displays
