    ASUS PA329Q Reviews

    PA329Q 32" 16:9 4K/UHD IPS Monitor is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware I had what I thought of as a minor nuisance from day one where the monitor would reset to very low resolution and teh USB hub would not reconnect after windows awoke from sleep. ASUS insisted it was a drivers issue which kept the monitor in my possession beyond my return window but countless software updates later this intermittent problem persists. Now that the warranty has expired on the monitor they are blaming a hardware fault for these issues and of course at my expense can repair them in 4-6 weeks for just shy of what a new monitor costs. I Used to buy a lot of ASUS equipment (why I bought the monitor) but they are off the purchasing list completely now since the warranty is meaningless.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I am not so sure I didn't get this monitor from B&H, but will write a review anyway for my purchasing the monitor was reading others' reviews here. First one came with enough dead pixels to get replaced. Second one only had a few (less than 5) dead pixels, so kept it. ProArt calibration with Spyder5 always results in redish black. Black background is too red when calibrated with ProArt program. Using Spyder5 software is ok. Colors are great but it doesn't translate to other consumer displays like phones, tablets, sRGB monitors at all. (Yes, all images were converted to sRGB) If I had to do it again, I would just get Eizo and be done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Images. I rarely write review of products I purchased but this monitor deserved my comments. I just had the monitor for about a week and everything works flawlessly. The color gamut seems to be right on comparing to my previous 24 ProArt which was calibrated with the hardware calibration tool. This is my first 4K monitor and I am simply amazed with the image quality. One minor thing is it's not possible to adjust the brightness when using any preset modes. Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitor The color fidelity on this monitor is excellent. I do a lot of CAD drafting (mostly in Vectorworks) and this monitor displays everything very well. there is no stepping or blurring of diagonal lines. The buttons on the side are very easy to use, though I wish more of them were programable and that the up/down button could be programed to default to volume and not brightness because I tend to adjust volume more. Sometimes I actually find the monitor a bit too bright and frequently put it on its dimmest setting, especially when I am working on something with a white background.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor I previously ordered the?BenQ?SW320 monitor and came with a lot of light bleeding in the corners and the puck is a gadget trust me, also it gave me a lot of trouble getting? my video card to display the 10 bit, of course I returned it, thank you B&H for your great customer support. After that I order this one and let me tell you you wont regret it worked right out of the bat in 10 bit besides of being shipper than my previous selection. Also if you guys are looking for a 10 bit monitor because you want to get 10 bit of course, please check this link? . Like it says in the article you will need a card that outputs 10 bit, I am using the AMD wx7100 and it works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing niche product First off, I will say this - I love this monitor and I'm very pleased with my purchase. Now having said that, here are the details. 1) If you are wondering if you need this monitor, then the answer is no - you do not. This is a niche product that (at the current time) is needed only for a select few who know what this monitor can do and will live with its drawbacks. 2) The colors are outstanding. Better than any wide gamut monitor I've used (and I've used a lot). 3) It's a bit quirky. Like any new technology, it has its bugs. - Sometimes it won't wake from sleep - but Asus did something brilliant. They included an old-fashioned on/off power toggle so you can cycle the monitors power without doing a power cable pull, which is what's needed to get it to wake up when it won't by standard mouse/keyboard input. - Once in a blue moon, you'll see some garbage painted to the screen for that is literally one refresh cycle (i.e. 1/60th of a second). 4) Even though it's a 32 monitor, 3840x2160 still produces VERY small window elements and text. Be prepared to sit very close to the monitor if you're not using scaling. 5) Very well built and packaged monitor. Certainly feels worth the price. 6) On screen menu system takes a while to get used to - but then again, doesn't it always? 7) G-to-G time seems to be a bit slow. This is by no means a gaming monitor. This is a monitor that you know you need. If you can live with the cons and quirks, then you're getting one of the best displays on the market. Hats off to Asus for this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent monitor, profiled beautifully I got this to upgrade from an old 31 inch Dell Ultrasharp that was wide gamut, and profiled well. Just you know, not 4K, not 10bit color, etc, and old enough that I figured it'd surprise me when I could least afford it. Had to wait for this to come in, and I'm glad I did. The default Adobe RGB color space was in fact excellent out of the box, I checked it with my Spyder5. Although MUCH brighter than I'd recommend for anyone. That was true about all the stock profiles - way, way too bright. The one annoying thing is that to profile it yourself you have to go into darkroom profile, so it's not like you can start with theirs and then tune it up. It should be. They have a profile tool included that works with Spyder and iCal, but it hung every time I tried to use it (Win10, 64bit.) The Spyder5+ software ran just fine. When I got it profiled I compared it to the one in the menu options and I did get a bit over 3% or so tighter to Adobe RGB. The shipped was 95% on the nose (but too bright,) when profiled, I think I was 98%. Hard to see both lines on the profiling display other than in one corner where they diverged. It does have a quirk or two. At boot up, it goes on and off and on and off, each time a new step in the boot process occurs; most monitors don't jitter like that. Other than that, nothing bad so far. Noticeably better when editing, a lot less need to zoom in and out to check critical sharpness or other details. Worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't know what I was missing I'm a fused glass artist. To get into shows, I have to submit high-quality photos electronically to juries and have frequent need for print and digital representations of my work. When I recently purchased high-quality business cards with photos of my art on them, they were grossly over-saturated and the hues were off: proof that my old monitor wasn't able to display colors correctly. In my search for a new monitor, I stumbled over a different color-calibrated monitor, which caused me to search deeper for something better than a consumer display but not as expensive as a top-end professional monitor. This and the PA329Q sibling are reasonably priced, but it still took a while to decide to finally place my order, but I don't regret it in the least. My new PA329Q monitor traveled from the east coast to my home in Oregon in 3 working days. The packaging was really well designed: protective but easy to pull the heavy, awkward pieces out because it opened on the large sides rather than the usual small top face. So many ports and features! But I only had to plug in power and the included display cable and turn it on. I nearly jumped back in surprise when I saw how intense the colors were and realized how much I'd been missing for all these years. Everybody I've showed it to has been amazed at the cyan, aqua, and magenta colors they've never seen before on a monitor. Its so gorgeous, I hate to turn on the blue filter each night when I'm working late, but that was one of the features on my list of requirements; I want my eyes to work for as many years as possible. This monitor, the purchase process, delivery, packaging, included accessories, and setup process were all high quality and easy.
