This monitor fits in my rack, looks great. needed to replace a monitor that died (week out of warranty and they say too bad) most will know who this company is, but I won't name them.

I bought this screen (the 13.3 version) for a dual purpose - as an editing/reference monitor in my editing room (Adobe cc, da-Vinci resolve, unreal) and to use on-location connected to my sony FX6. So far - I'm very happy from the experience, especially when considering the very affordable price. pros: Image quality is good, brightness is enough for studio work (not sure for outdoors), connectivity is fair, almost no latency (their smaller F5 screen has quite a latency when inputting 4K signal that is being converted in-monitor); I've managed to get is to be relatively accurate color-wise, almost good enough to be used for professional color grading. HDMI input works great, and adapts to almost any format (4K, DCI, etc.) V-Lock battery option is great (haven't tested yet). I like the very simple stand which enables you to tilt it up/down slightly. cons: The screen is quite reflective; SDI is very strict as an input format and no conversion is offered by the monitor (the premiere timeline must be 1080P or lower, while HDMI input works perfectly. this poses an issue when trying to use SDI out to review 4K sources); Speakers are not good (but headphones from the monitor sounds ok). All in all, and hoping no issues will occur, I think it's a very worthwhile investment. Mercury playback on adobe cc does slow things down a bit, but latency with BlackMagic ultrastudio monitor and / or decklink and this monitor is almost unnoticeable. As for the SDI/HDMI issue - when connected to a camera you can set the camera to downscale, and in studio you should try to use HDMI when possible.

Good but consider mounting

This is a pretty good monitor and I would recommend it. The case is great but it doesn't allow you to mount the monitor on a C stand. Which is not ideal. But the case does protect it and it's legit.

Great dealprice on a 4k sdi monitor

I've viewed a lot of expensive HD-SDI monitors over the past 15 years and got to say that for the price this is a great monitor! Does exactly what it needs to and the monochrome focus assist is a nice touch.

Good monitor for the money

Bought this for a portable video system monitor and it's very bright and clear for the money. Can take out rack mount screws and it tilts up and down in the rack mount to adjust viewing angle. Lightweight and has plenty of input options. Speakers are a little hollow sounding but didn't expect great audio from the monitor anyway.

Works in spite...

The monitor works great. But the little things that would have given it a five-star are just too annoying to deal with. For starters, the supplied sun visor doesn't fit the unit and we bought two. The holes don't match up so they can't be fastened as designed. Then the VESA mount doesn't fit any basic options. The battery plate and a few SDI ports are blocked. I would have to remove the V-mount plate for it to work. So we opted to cut the purchased VESA mounts back. The worse is you cant plug any P-tap into the installed V-mount plate (see attached) due to the position of the back handle plate. The handle has this raised edge that I would have to cut back to slide a P-tap in. Again great display so far just too many annoying things that don't work as easy as my old Osee 15.6. At least this unit is light enough to use a spigot attached to the supplied bracket (c-stand).

What stand do you recommend for the monitor?

What stand do you recommend for the monitor?
Asked by: Dan
We travel a lot, so we store the monitor in a Pelican Case, and it just stands up nicely in the open case. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/40671-REG/Pelican_1600_000_110_1600_Case_with_Foam.html Or, you can mount it nicely on this stand for studio use: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1172637-REG/on_stage_fps6000_mounting_system_for_42.html This stand is very solid. Maybe even a bit heavy for this small monitor, but it certainly hold the thing securely, no chance of being knocked over.

question

How does the included sunshade attach to the monitor? What is it made of? does the sunshade itself fold up for storage?
Asked by: Christian
The sunshade is made of a cloth material and will fold up. We do not have specifics on how it attaches, but believe it will connect through the various threadings the monitor has on it.

How do I get it to broadcast in 4k? When I attach ...

How do I get it to broadcast in 4k? When I attach to my 4k camera the display reads 1080.
Asked by: Jerry
Unfortunately, the description is slightly misleading. The monitor only displays video at 1080 resolution -- the screen is only 1920x1080. The inputs will "accept" a 4K signal, but then it down-converts to 1080. Other than that, it is a great monitor for the price. Suggest upgrade to the higher model with scopes built in.
