Supported by a steel yoke, the panel surface area measures 25.4 x 11.8" and employs interchangeable thermoplastic diffusers that range from Lite to Heavy to soften the light and wrap its output around your subject. The SkyPort outputs the equivalent of a 2000W tungsten soft light while drawing a maximum of only 450W.

It says that it can be powered by an external battery - is there a specific type of battery compatible with it, else can someone recommend me one they've used successfully with it?
I've never tried to run the S60 off of a battery. I've powered S30's with dual Dionic batteries (which don't last very long) which require a special mounting bracket for the batteries on the back of the unit. I'd be wary of trying to do this with an S60 because they eat so much power. I'd go for an inverter setup if possible with marine batteries.
