GSM + CDMA / 4G LTE Wireless Connectivity

This phone is designed to work on select GSM and CDMA networks and is 4G LTE capable. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. It can also be used in other parts of the world; however, LTE access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network. To ensure this phone will work with your carrier please check to make sure the frequencies your carrier uses are supported by this phone. The full list of compatible carrier frequencies can be found here, the frequencies this phone supports can be found in the product specs.

All-Day Battery and TurboPower Technology

The Moto G Plus is designed to last a full day and then some. With a 3000mAh battery, you can go about your day and not worry about battery life. Go to school or work, visit with friends, and then head out for the evening - you'll still have enough juice to get home. Plus, the Moto G Plus is equipped with TurboPower technology, which is designed to give you 6 hours of usage after just 15 minutes of charging.

Water Repellant

Advanced nano-coating technology creates a water repellent barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water, such as accidental spills, splashes, or light rain.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your homescreen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 6.0 Marshmallow overhauls permissions, allowing you to have finer control over what your applications have access to. It also marks the debut of Now on Tap, a context-sensitive update to Google Now that checks your current screen for keywords and then searches for them automatically. Other performance and security enhancements are included as well.

Bad Battery Life

By McKenzie

We got this phone to use for overseas travel. It worked fine in Japan during winter months, but we began to have problems in Thailand roughly three months after purchase. It would experience ghost touch if you tried to use it while plugged in. Unplugging it resolved this issue. The most problematic problem is it frequently got very hot while not in use and would significantly drain the battery in a matter of minutes. We took to shutting down every background program, but this didn't always resolve the issue. Sometimes we would plug it in for a few hours, it would say it was 100% full and after five minutes of use it would be down to 30% or lower. The photo quality is OK. It has weird distortion which can make your hands look like they belong to somebody twice your size. That was kind of amusing. Other than that the images looked fine blown up. Macro is really annoying to use, but once you figure it out it isn't too bad. It also seems to have a hard time focusing while taking a video. We mostly wanted a phone that would be good for international travel and have a decent camera. If not for the battery absolutely sucking I would recommend this phone. As it is, I would return it and try a different phone if I could.

B&H photo and video were a good company to order from, very fast. The phone has a few quirks, the battery life could be better. I would really like a visual notification of calls and texts. On my old moto g you could touch anywhere on the screen to capture a picture, with this one you have to tap the shutter icon on the bottom of the screen, not as convenient. Besides that it is a great phone, fast with lots of storage. Love the bigger screen.

First phone broke down in 10 months, Motorola agreed to replace it. I paid $25.00 for shipping and they sent a replacement. They never bothered to tell me the phone only had 3 months warranty. I received the replacement in July 2018 and one month ago the replacement phone started giving me problems and finally died yesterday. I called Motorola today and after 3 hours on the phone with them they tell me that the phone was out of warranty and I would have to pay for a replacement out of warranty fee of $150.00 plus tax. On top of that I found out that the replacement phone that I would be paying for would again only have 3 months warranty and it is not guaranteed that it is a new device, it could be like new refurbished. I am so upset, that I paid $300.00 something for this phone and now 1.5 years later I end up with a broken phone and nothing in return.

It lasted just over a year, that is all

Seemed like a great phone and good deal for just over a year. Then, the touch screen quit working, very suddenly. The phone is now worthless and I am 1 month outside the warranty.

Great phone for the price!

Any comments on the ghost-screen issue reported in this model?
Asked by: Jos G.
First unit (XT1644) developed the issue, right out of the box, after initial automatic update to 7.0, within a few days. At first, only while charging, then, within a day or so of first event, it started happening multiple times/day, on or off the charger. Sent back for a replacement, which I am waiting on now. RMA was quick and painless, great job by B&H Customer Service. Keeping my fingers crossed for the replacement, since I truly do love the phone based on what I saw in the few days I used the first one.

Can I use my existing Verizon Sim card with this phone and will it work?
Asked by: Anonymous
As long as the SIM card is from a Verizon 4G LTE activated phone then should work fine. That is how my phone was activated on Verizon.

Is tris phone compatible with T-Mobile?
Asked by: Anonymous
It works great on T-Mobile, but it does not support T-Mobile WIFI Calling. I have verified that with T-Mobile. It does support 3rd party Internet calling apps like Skype, however.
