The 17.3" Republic of Gamers G701VO Series Notebook from Asus is a portable powerhouse built for gamers on the go. Equipped with a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-6820HK Quad-Core processor and 64GB of DDR4 RAM, the G701VO lets you efficiently multitask and quickly access frequently used files and programs. When you need more processing power, the CPU's core clock can reach up to 3.6 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost technology. You can also use the ROG Gaming Center software to further adjust your system's settings for a balance between performance and noise.

Its 17.3" display has a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution for crisp and clear visual content. Furthermore, it features NVIDIA G-Sync technology, which syncs the display's refresh rate with the graphics card's frame rate output for smooth, lag- and judder-free gaming. Driven by a dedicated desktop-class graphics card, the G701VO lets you enable additional graphical options and crank up in-game graphical settings, so you can enjoy games at their best. Using its Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI ports, you'll be able to connect external displays to further enhance its multitasking capabilities.

For storage, it has a 1024GB NVMe PCIe-based SSD. Since they're constructed without any moving parts, SSDs are able to endure more and perform faster than a traditional hard drive. With its large capacity, you'll be able to store all your photos, videos, games, and more while still benefiting from fast access times. Should you need more, you can connect external storage devices via its USB and Thunderbolt 3 ports as well as its SD card reader, which also lets you quickly transfer files from your mobile devices.

Connect to the Internet via 802.11ac Wi-Fi, or use the Gigabit Ethernet jack for a more reliable and stable wired connection. If you run out of ports, you can pair compatible wireless peripherals and devices with Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Other integrated features include a backlit keyboard, audio-in and -out jacks, speakers, microphones, and a webcam. The operating system installed is Windows 10 Home.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Graphics Card
Equipped with a desktop-class graphics card, the G701VO packs powerful graphical performance that lets you enable additional graphical options and crank up in-game settings so you can enjoy games at their best.
NVIDIA G-Sync Technology
NVIDIA G-Sync Technology ensures that the monitor's refresh rate will sync and lock with the graphics card's output frame rate. Establishing this sync minimizes the tearing and stuttering which can result from conventional fixed screen refresh rates – especially important for gaming in stereoscopic 3D. An additional benefit of G-Sync is reduced lag, so gamers will benefit from the improved command response time as well.
DDR4 offers better performance and improved energy efficiency over its predecessor.
NVMe PCIe SSDs allow for fast data access speeds, so you can access files faster and spend less time staring at loading screens.
Anti-Ghosting Keyboard with 30-Key Rollover
Anti-ghosting and 30-key rollover ensure that all your inputs are instantaneous and accurate. Each backlit key is ergonomically designed for a solid and responsive typing experience.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
ESS Sabre Headphone DAC and Amplifier
The ESS Sabre headphone DAC improves sound quality to provide you with a high dynamic range and less noise, while the ESS amplifier adds bass and enhances audio for even clearer, detailed sound. With it, in-game audio sounds richer, with greater detail and less distortion, even when you're using a headset.
ROG Gaming Center
ROG Gaming Center lets you overclock your system for better performance. Click through four different modes – standard, optimized, extreme, and manual – to find the right setting for your needs.
XSplit Gamecaster
Stream and record your gameplay to share with your friends and fans with XSplit Gamecaster. This software includes multiple features such as an on-screen overlay, in-game annotations, and more.
Sonic Studio II & Sonic Radar II
ASUS Sonic Studio provides you with high-quality gaming audio and clear voice pickup with noise reduction. Sonic Radar lets you detect enemies with an on-screen overlay that shows their position in relation to their gunshots, footsteps, and other in-game sound effects.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
