Grado GS2000e overview

  • 1Description

The Statement Series GS2000e Mahogany & Maple Wood Headphones from Grado are designed with the idea that maple gives energy for fully transmitting music and the mahogany allows it to open up and reveal the true harmonic structure and the space that the artist intended. The combined-wood headphone enclosures can be used to monitor audio on several devices such as smartphones, MP3 players, recorders, and more.

Featuring 50mm drivers and built with an open-air design, the headphones have a frequency response of 4 Hz to 51 kHz and an impedance of 32 Ohms. The 12-conductor copper cable and soft ear cushions all work together for an engaging musical experience. Additionally, a 1/8" adapter and an extension cable are included, and an optional 4-pin XLR balanced cable is available.

    Grado GS2000e reviews

Statement Series GS2000e Mahogany & Maple Wood Headphones is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best in Brooklyn Just Got Better I spend at least half my day with headphones on, and I've owned a lot of different makes and models. I used to be Sennheiser all the way but that changed with the Grado PS1000e. Since then I've gone back and forth changing bits of kit but the Grado's are always present. HOWEVER - these GS2000e are special. They offer the most immersive, detailed soundstage I've heard but do so with warmth and incredible clarity. When I listened to The Cowboy Junkies Trinity Sessions, I felt I was there, inside the church, standing around the single microphone watching the band, listening to the individual instrumentation, hearing them breathe. I auditioned the HD800s before I decided and they are beautiful headphones with a precise, if slightly transparent bass. But if I described the difference between Sennheiser and Grado in terms of sound authenticity it would be this. The HD800s are like walking into an empty beautiful show home with pristine sheen on the surfaces, polished marble floors and tiles, chrome and steel and glass. These Grado GS2000e are like coming home to see your family at thanksgiving. They may be the best headphones I've ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very HiFi Great Headphones. only con about is that they are really expensive and they DO NOT include a storage or carry case... something to consider if you are going to use them in different places.
