The Tone Block 201 from Quilter is a compact and lightweight solid-state guitar amplifier head capable of delivering up to 200W of power. Designed to stand up to any heavyweight stage amp, the Tone Block 201 is small enough to fit on your board with your favorite pedals, or can be rackmounted with other components. Using all analog circuitry, the amp serves up a versatile range of tube-like tones without emulation, and offers the feel of a real tube amp, along with an abundance of clean headroom.
The Tone Block 201's front panel is equipped with a set of tone-shaping controls for Gain, Tri-Q contour, Voice, Hi-cut, and a Master control to set the power from 0 to 200W. In addition to a 1/4" high-impedance instrument input jack, there are also 1/4" FX send and return jacks for the effects loop. The back panel includes a pair of 1/4" speaker output jacks which can accommodate 4, 8, and 16 Ohm speakers. Furthermore, a proprietary XLR direct out provides a mic-level isolated signal that can be used instead of placing a microphone in front of the speaker.
In addition, its universal power supply ensures that the Tone Block 201 can be used anywhere in the world without the need for additional transformers or switches, while a locking power cable jack adds security to your rig, reducing the possibility of your cable coming unplugged while the amp is in use. A carrying case is also included.
