I've been using these headphones every day for about three weeks. They have been a major upgrade from the $60 Velodyne headphones I had been using before. The sound is perfectly balanced (ideal for video editing) and does not emphasize deep bass as much as other industry-standard headphones. This makes the HD 280 great for mixing recorded audio and music. The ear cups press a bit harder onto my head than I would like, and I have to flip the cups facing out when sitting around my neck otherwise it feels like I'm being choked. The padding around the ears is quite thick which makes them comfortable to wear for long edits. Overall, these are great budget headphones for editors and mixers.

I got these as an alternative to the Sony MDR 7506 for on-set use. I wanted a little more over the ear fit, and these have that. I think the 7506 are a little more comfortable to wear, but they don't cover my ears as well as these. So it's a trade off, I think. Both sound great for field monitoring.

I wanted a decent pair of headphone that I could use to track while traveling. I was debating on getting these or another pair of DT770 pros. I decided to go with the HD280's because I figured if they broke while in transit I wouldn't be to upset about it. At first the sound quality didn't blow me away, but I've noticed that my mixes have been translating better then they ever have! They are now my go to headphones... I don't even use my dt770 or 880's. The ear cups are tight and great for keeping noise of out of the mic while tracking. I will definitely be purchasing a few more pairs for the studio!

Perfect balanced sound

It's comfortable, quiet, and has excellent sound quality, I tried so many headphones but I've to the conclusion that Sennheiser has the best sound quality for professional headphones!
