    Sanho SAGN21BGR reviews

HyperDrive USB Type-C 5-in-1 Hub with Pass Through Charging (Space Gray) is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from More flimsy than Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter I returned the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport adapter because I thought it looked and felt awkward dangling on the side and adds more bulk if you add usb drives to ti. I bought this because it looked sleek in photo. However, it feels flimsier than the Apple because putting in and pulling out the adapter, or the USB cards needs more care than the Apple. It feels like you are going to break something inside the usb-c port. It's hard to explain but in this case, a dangling Apple multiport adapter plus usb ports youmay plug into it are better than this Hyperdrive. It's like putting an iphone on a lightning dock. It feels and look dainty. I should have kept the Apple multiport.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money I bought this dongle because it looked sleek and like it would be easy to use and I would not have to carry aroung a ton of cables for my macbook pro. I would rather have 20 cables to lug around than this thing. I am a video editor and I work off of a small Western Digital portable hardrive that I plug into my laptop using usb. this thing is so loose around my computer that you cant plug in anything without worrying about it randomly getting disconnected. So many times I have accidentaly bumped my laptop while this thing was plugged in and it will just unplug and all of my video files will go offline. Just get a regular dongle hub. this thing is the worst!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective and affordable This is an affordable alternative to the Apple version. Stays securely in place and allows me to charge and USB at the same time. Card readers are a plus as well. Great fix for any new Apple that doesn't have the inputs we all need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks Good in Pictures But... While it looks good in pictures, it does not feel exactly solid. You have to be careful when pujlling the usb-c or the sd cards from the hub. It feels more flimsy than the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. This makes the usb-c port more fragile, that if you pull out anything carelessly, you might mis-align the port.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Easily Ejects with almost no movement. Having used this device now for two major photo shoots I'm very disappointed how incredibly easy any slight movement disconnects it from my mac. Any disconnect when transferring images or video is dangerous beyond belief. For that reason I just ordered something different and have stopped using this device all together. It's possible the new version of this, that was recently funded on KickStarter, that uses two pegs for two USB-C connections, may solve this disconnect issue, two connector pegs may give it the support it needs. Time will tell. But for now, this one is just to dangerous to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I should have paid attention to the negative reviews I purchased it 1/13/17 in order to use it while I am teaching overseas. It is now 5/16/17 and it has died. It was always temperamental. I was very careful with it. When it died and I unplugged it the unit was VERY warm. Be warned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy This Product I bought this USB hub and I thought it would be a good choice for my 15 inch MacBook Pro. I was wrong. The ordering experience through B&H was amazing and I would give them 5 stars for their customer service, but the hub doesn't even deserve one star. This isn't B&H's fault but the hub was not working and frequently disconnecting even though it was fully plugged in. The USB ports were very buggy and the SD card slot didn't work. I called Sanho, the manufacturer of the hub, and they said they would fix it if I paid for shipping. I had to spend 5 hours in the phone and call Sanho three times before they would send me a prepaid label to send the hub back for a replacement. It is a week after I sent it and I have not received a replacement yet and I live in the same state as Sanho is based in. Sanho has horrible Customer service and their products are very poor quality. I would avoid them for any alternatives.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not precisely made Doesn't seem very well made. USB doesn't fit all the way into the slot--still connects most of the time, but I've had it lose connection a few times.
