How is the locking mechanism? Can you move the slider to a new position without the carriage sliding all over the place?

question

What do you recommend? This one or the slider plus from edelkrone?
Asked by: Bernardo G.
A few things, The slider plus has a payload capacity of 8lb and the shark has a payload of 15lb.The slider plus is designed to be compact and on a tripod extend the slide (very cool feature but tradeoff is the build quality and payload)The Shark is a carbon fiber beast of a slider with a counter balance weight for fluid slowdowns.Overall they are both great and depending on your need you can't go wrong with either one.The main question is, do you need the compactness or the payload and build quality. Thanks
