    Lenovo 40A40090US reviews

ThinkPad OneLink+ USB 3.0 Dock is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works great until it doesn't. I got this docking station primarily to attach two external displays to my Yoga 14. No drivers were required and it worked well. It was pricey, but came with an additional AC adapter. Unfortunately, after two weeks in service, it completely stopped providing video output signals. One call to tech support confirmed that it was defective and that I would receive a replacement. Unfortunately, they replacement is out of stock for an excess of 30 days. Lenovo won't take a return on the unit without a 15% restocking fee - despite being told that returning it would be faster than a warranty exchange. Overall, a miss in quality. Hopefully a fluke as I cant wait to get it back in service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from OneLink+ dock woes Recently purchased a Yoga260 and two oneLink+ docks, one for home office and one for work. I can't get the OneLink+ dock to engage with the external monitors in both of my setups. I have to power on the laptop first , login to the laptop, then connect the OneLink to the laptop. Three times out of ten, it will connect to the monitors and work, most times it requires a restart, then it may work. I've installed latest driver and have done firmware upgrade. This is frustrating and disappointing that both docks are behaving this way. Other than the small footprint to the dock, I considerer this useless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your time and money, find a better solution! I have had my 4th generation X1 Carbon and ThinkPad oneBlink dock for three months now! It still workd, but the problem is any graphic consuming program or application that I run on my external monitors causes the external graphic card (onelink embedded graphic card) co constantly crash! I will be now looking into a simple external graphic card solution and return this worthless accessory to Lenovo! What was wrong with all those conventional docking stations Lenovo used to have / have for Workstation laptops which happened towork with almost every other laptop they made! Why change something, if you cant provide a better replacement? did we really have to get fancy with the OneLink?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Replicator Yet I bought 3 of these for my end users who are all running X1 Yoga's. I tested all three laptops with all three docking stations. When I undocked the laptops (while docking station was connected to two monitors) the laptop monitor would shutoff and you had to reboot laptop to get it back, or disconnect one monitor from the docking station then undock laptop to keep laptop monitor from shutting off. Now one user just complained that he lost his monitors as other reviews have stated. He still can use USB, audio, power, and Ethernet. To resolve the problem I am now running his monitors off the laptop. I've used USB 3.0 dock and Prolink docks, this is by far the worst dock Lenovo has put on the market. Don't buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Reliability We have purchased 5 docks for corporate deployment to use with X1 Carbon (4th Gen). Wthin a month 3 of the 5 have experienced failure of the display output (as other reviewers have experienced). Additionally as of 8-2-2016 there is an Ethernet connection issue that has been acknowledged by Lenovo but yet to be fixed. (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Carbon-Gen-4-Onelink-Dock-Ethernet-Sometimes-not-recognised/td-p/3324618/page/3) Honestly, this is a complete design/testing failure and should never have been brought to market. Lenovo should use this as a test case for improving their quality control procedures. As it currently stands, we are all left holding the bag with computers that can't be docked.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional I love the size of the docking station and how it can be easily hidden from view. In addition the docking station is packed with connection options. However, I continue to encounter some minor issues. 1) The monitors will occasionally disconnect/connect or flicker for no reason while the computer is in use. 2) Wireless keyboard/mouse will experience lag when the USB dongle is plugged into the docking station but not when it is plugged directly into the laptop. Beyond these items, the docking station has been a nice addition. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 60% of the time is works everytime... These things are terrible. Video keeps going blank when using dual display ports. The only recovery is to unplug docking cable and power cycle the onelink unit. Even worse, I have an RMA that is 21 days old due to supply issues, so I had to purchase a new one for the executive users. My bad experience has me investigating a vendor switch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked great, until video stops outputting As with the other reviewer, my dock was working great, however the video now stops outputting properly. I am no longer able to use at this point and warranty replacements are currently out of stock. :-\
