Feiyu MG overview

  • 1Description

Mount your mirrorless camera on the Feiyu MG Lite Motorized Gimbal for smooth footage capture. The MG features 3-axis stabilization, compensating for vibration on the pan, tilt, and horizon axes. This stabilization gives your footage a professional look with less camera shake. The simple one-handed design is discreet and packs away easily.

Feiyu has designed the MG Lite to be easy to use, yet versatile. You can set up the gimbal to operate in one of three modes, panning, panning and tilting, or lock mode. Each mode allows for different levels of movement with lock mode attempting to lock the camera's position as much as possible. To control the camera's position, the integrated joystick or the included wireless remote control can be used. All three motors in the M3 can rotate a full 360°, so it won't "freak out" if rotated too far. Once you're done shooting, the MG Lite can be easily folded down for storage in the included protective case.

Accepts a Wide Range of Cameras
Most small cameras weighing up to 4.4 lb can be used. Larger DSLR cameras like the 5D Mark III can be used with smaller lenses. Mirrorless cameras with larger lenses can be further stabilized by engaging the lens fixing screw.
3-Mode Operation
  • Panning mode enables the camera to pan left or right and restricts vertical tilts or rolls
  • Panning and tilting mode enables the camera to pan left or right and tilt up and down, and restricts the rolls
  • Lock mode keeps the camera in its current orientation and restricts panning, tilting, and rolls
Includes Accessories
  • USB Cable: For firmware updates and charging the batteries
  • Rechargeable Batteries: 4 18650 batteries are small, yet 2 will last for approximately 6 hours on a full charge.
  • Battery Charger: Charges 2 batteries. This way when the batteries inside the gimbal are depleted, just replace them. A separately available USB power adapter is required.
  • Protective Case: Fits everything that comes with the gimbal, with an extra compartment for essentials.

    Feiyu MG reviews

MG Lite 3-Axis Motorized Gimbal is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good I bought this when my Beholder DS-1 stopped working. I use it with a Panasonic LX100. It works pretty goo. I do still get some vibration at times and the follow motion could be a bit smoother but overall I am happy with it. For the price point it is a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, very mobile & easy set-up I was hesitant at first. Turned out to be a good purchase. I use it with my Sony a7sii with Sigma 20mm 1.4 Art lens and sigma adapter. Even though it's a huge set up and it restricts the tilt access, the motors handle the weight no problem. I even mounted a Canon 24mm T1.5 cine lens recently. The base plate didnt screw in all the way since the lens is huge but I was able to mount it and the motors handled it well. Highly recommend this affordable gimbal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second one and it does not work I was looking forward to getting this for my Panasonic g7 but when it arrived it did not work, it just vibrated for a second and then stopped. I get it, stuff happens, thought I got a lemon so I sent it back for an exchange and to my disappointment the second one doesn't work either. Same thing. Ifollowed the instructions and watched a couple tutorials on YouTube.I'm sending this one back and if I decide to buy another gimbal I'll do more research.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has it limits I use it with a Sony A7S2, metabones speed booster, and Canon 8-15. It definitely has it's limits with this setup. This set up is pretty heavy and toward the top of it's stated limits. I use it to follow cam snowboarding, and it has been freaking out lately when I make too extreme of movements (like follow camping jumps). If you want it for mellow stuff in the city, it will work fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Go With Another Gimbals 2 things, one the motor almost always has problems with specific movement, if you tilt down or up too much the gimbal will malfunction. This happens nearly every time I use it. I tried to replace it and but a newer version through Feiyu and their costumer service rejected me. I told I would send this gimbal back because it does not work well and I would upgrade to a better gimbal, I gave them a chance to keep me as a customer but they rejected me. Spend a little extra money and go with a better gimbal!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does the job (up to 3lb) I've been using this gimbal for the last 3 months. It took me some time to get use to, specially to find the correct camera position. There are some tutorials in youtube to learn how to do it. Once you got it, you can load up to 3lb. Over that, the gimbal shake for 2 seconds and it turn power off. I could use it with a Canon 80D with the 18-135 zoom lens. And the image I got was perfectly smooth. If you load more weight the motors of the gimbal have to use more power and you could feel and hear more vibration. I tried to use the 80D with the Sigma 18-35 art lens (its a heavy one) and the gimbal turned off after shaking. That's why I don't give it 5 stars. Out of that I found it perfect. PS: I didn't test battery life, cause every time I use it for about 2 hours, and then I recharge batteries, so I never went out of battery. And as it include a pair of replacement batteries, it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not strong I use with a Sony A7sii, metabones speed booster, and canon 8-15. This setup is at the top of the scale for what this gimbal is supposed to handle, and it shows. It can have problems if you do aggressive movements. It always seemed weak, but now it is unusable. Mine just started failing on me every time I use it, after about 10 sec. I'm going to try for a warranty.
