TP-Link AC1900 overview

  • 1Description

With concurrent wireless data transfer rates of up to 1.9 Gbps, the AP500 AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Access Point from TP-Link makes it easy to stream multimedia content, transfer large files, and more with ease. The enhanced wireless data transfer rates are made possible thanks to dual-band support as the AP500 operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. In addition to dual-band support, this access point also supports the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards. Once installed users benefit from beamforming technology which provides a more concentrated wireless signal for improved signal strength and reliability. The AP500 can also be configured to suit a variety of networking needs as it supports AP, repeater/bridge, client, and multi-SSID operating modes.

    TP-Link AC1900 reviews

AP500 AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Access Point is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from TP-Link AP500 AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Access Point It was relatively easy to set up as an Access Point on our hard wired multi floor home LAN. It is located on the first floor and connected via Cat5e to a Comcast modem/router in another room which manages the LAN. The Access Point wifi signal has been strong enough to allow me to connect with my iPad upstairs on the other side of the house in all kinds of weather. Reliability has been great - no interruption of wifi service since installation in Nov 2017. I have had lower priced Access Points from other vendors in the past and the experience has been fair to poor. Wifi service was not totally reliable (had to reset periodically) and they died after no more than a few years. I decided to go with this more expensive unit in the hope it would be more reliable (yes!) and would last much longer ( yet to be determined). So far I am very happy!
