This B&H Kit has been designed to maximize the full potential of Intel's Core i7-6800K processor with an LGA 2011-v3 ATX motherboard. This kit is created to fully utilize all of the processor's six cores as well as 28 PCIe lanes for PCIe cards, storage drives, and ports. The included motherboard sports an LGA 2011-v3 socket to ensure compatibility with the processor and eight DIMM slots, which support up to 128GB of DDR4 memory modules. With a suitable CPU cooling solution, this motherboard lets you enhance the speed of the unlocked Intel Core i7-6800K chip with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.8 GHz, utilizing software or hardware settings.

    The Core i7-6800K 3.4 GHz Six-Core LGA 2011-v3 Processor from Intel has a base clock speed of 3.4 GHz and comes with features such as Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 and Intel Hyper-Threading technology. With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 3.8 GHz. Additionally, this processor features 6 cores with 12 threads in an LGA 2011-v3 socket and has 15MB of Intel Smart Cache memory. Having 6 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 12 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports up to 128GB of DDR4-2400/2133 RAM, has AES New Instructions, 14nm lithography, and utilizes 6th Generation (Skylake) technology.

    Graphically, the Intel Core i7-6800K 3.4 GHz Six-Core LGA 2011-v3 Processor does not contain an integrated graphics controller, meaning that users will need to purchase a dedicated graphics card of their choice. This processor is also unlocked, meaning that it can be overclocked past its maximum turbo frequency. However, overclocking past the maximum turbo frequency is not recommended. Not only will it cause the processor to run much hotter, it will also void the limited 3-year warranty.

    Based on Intel's X99 chipset and retrofitted with technologies to help maximize to potential of Intel's Core i7 X-Series processors for the LGA 2011-v3 socket, the X99-A II LGA 2011-v3 ATX Motherboard from ASUS has been created for gaming.
