    Watson EN-EL15 reviews

    Watson EN-EL15 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.0V, 1900mAh) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loosing power quickly I'm using Watson batteries in my Nikon D800 for a couple of years now. Unfortunately thesebatteries are just wasting of money. My genuine Nikonbatteries, which are 5 years old, work much better. Watson loosing power quite quickly. You charge it to the full and in a few days you put it into the camera and it shows 30-40% only of the full capacity. At the same time old Nikon batteries are loosing may be only 1-3%. I'd stick to the Nikon batteries. Yes, they are much more expensive, but much more reliable. And if you are hiking/travelling far you need to trust batteries and know they are fully charged. Also because they are loosing power quickly you need more batteries for the same number of shots which adds weight to your backpack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Watson in my Nikon D750 dies faster. I bought a Nikon D750 mainly for video and got 6 Watson's and 1 Nikon battery with it. The Watson's have performed ok although 1 of them quit working and would just rapidly blink orange. The rest last about 60% of the life of the Nikon. My camera is in a cage and if I knew now what I didn't then I would have bought 3 Nikon's and felt confident I'd have battery power all day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Came with D750 bundle and never really worked The battery didn't hold a charge well right off the bat, and over time became unusable since it wouldn't charge. Don't waste your money on these. B&H shouldn't waste its customers' time with them either by putting junk product into bundles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works in D500, but not a direct replacement The model 2 Watson EN-EL15 battery works in my D500 as well as in the MB-D17 grip. However, the number of shots is not being reset each time the battery is recharged nor is a full charge being seen as full in the D500 Battery Info menu. I can take an official, Nikon EN EL-15 battery, charge it, put it into the D500 and it shows 100% charge and 0 Shots. My Watson EN EL15 show 95% full and some (increasing) number of shots. I don't know if this will be an issue over time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Impressed This battery came packaged with my D810. I rotate three batteries through the camera. After 1 1/2 years, the two genuine Nikon batteries are still going strong. The Watson won't hold a charge for more than 50 shutter actuations. I got it for free, so the old saying applies. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra $$, and go with the quality of Nikon. I ordered the EN-EL15a.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk, died after a few months B& H sent this with my new Nikon D810 May 2017. It stopped fully charging almost immediately. It will only charge to 60% now and drains down rapidly with minimal use. B&H should stop sending these, they are junk and unreliable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Battery A worthy investment. Does not hold charge as long as Nikon OEM batteries (Maybe 25-30% less time) but still worth the purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Came free with the camera. The Watson EN-EL15 lithium battery pack is an after market product, not a Nikon product. The Nikon battery grip for the D500 does not recognize this battery. It does however, work ok in the D500 camera itself. So, I have to be sure to use it in the camera and not the battery grip.
