    ASUS PCE-AC88 reviews

    PCE-AC88 Dual-Band AC3100 Wireless PCIe Adapter is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best PCI-E adapter on the market. I upgraded from my old PCE-AC66 to this one. I used to get around 600 mbps with the old one, while I get 1.1 gbps with the PCE-AC88 using my Linksys AC5400. Using this wirelessly with my steam link, I was able to get excellent performance (the limiting factor being the steam link). One thing to note is that the speed varies by the setup you have (walls, etc) and antenna positon (if I pointed the antennas to the router (same floor) I will get 900 mbps, but by pointing them upward I was able to get 1.1 gbps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast External Adapter This is my first time installing a internal adapter and so far I am impress. The adapter comes with a short cable about 2ft . I decided to mount it magnetically on the side of the case . This adapter pairs nicely with a High End Wireless router such as an Asus RT-AC3100 or similar. With the desktop sitting about 10ft from the Router, My Internet speeds are about 320MBPs down and 20Mbps upload on the 5ghz band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice upgrade from a USB dongle I had been using a USB dongle that was fairly well reviewed, however like most USB dongles I encountered it had a tendency to overheat and get slowed/dropped connections under heavier and extended use, as I like to game this was a problem. So I did some research into network cards and as ASUS has generally had a good reputation I had decided on this card, in large part part due to the heat-sink and performance. I have been extremely pleased with the speeds, performance and reliability. My only complaint is I wish the cords that connect the card to the base were just a little longer. It does have a blue LED that shines in the back of the card, if you are concerned or care about matching colors with fan/case LEDs. Also for reference on the cards size, it fits nicely in my gigabyte gaming 7 motherboard and I also have a cooler master evo cpu cooler with 2 fans which makes it big and clunky, and I had little issue getting it to fit in the top slot. The drivers also seem to play well with windows 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tops out the speed. The connection to my gateway is faster than my home service speed on this card. Whats more to say. It's like having a wired connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 802.11ac card available I bought this card because my ASUS 802.11ac equipped motherboard would not maintain a connection to my network on the 5Ghz band and was always connecting with 802.11n on 2.4Ghz network. I now have 94% signal strength and a rock solid connection on 5Ghz 802.11ac. Download speeds are blazingly fast. My old card struggled to get 50 Mbps download, I am now getting 360 Mbps down consistently. I am finally getting the speed I was paying my ISP for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this adapter again for my new desktop I use this to connect to a router on my second floor where the signal has to go through two walls and a floor and I get decent bandwidth at 5GHz and even better at 2.4 GHz which surprised me. bought this to replace a USB 3.0 adapter that was overheating and regularly stop passing data while still showing the link was good.
