The FS7 Cool-Rig with Counterweight from Cool-Lux is a compact shoulder mount solution for the Sony FS7 camera. At its core, it features the multipurpose SHIFT Baseplate, and is complete with a rosette adapter for the FS7 Handle, an 8" 15mm rod for the FS7 viewfinder, and a rod-mount counterweight. The SHIFT Baseplate is designed to provide support for most large and midsize cameras, so this rig can be used with cameras other than the FS7 as well.
At the press of a button, the SHIFT Baseplate releases a flip-out chest support bar that helps balance the rig. When the bar is released, a soft and durable shoulder pad is also made available. When you fold it back up, it provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded tripod mount holes. The resting position of the bar is adjustable to different body types.
The SHIFT Baseplate offers front and rear 15mm rod ports with 1.9" of vertical adjustment on both sets, and it comes with 8" and 4" pairs of carbon fiber 15mm rods. The camera plate is adjustable 4.5" along a dovetail, for balancing your camera.
The rosette adapter for the FS7 Handle secures to the rig via a single rod clamp and can be attached anywhere along the rods. The additional 8" rod for the FS7 viewfinder is included, so you can replace the rod that normally holds the viewfinder to provide for a longer extension distance.
The counterweight features three 1.5 lb stackable weight plates and comes out to 4.7 lb total with the rod bridge included. It also offers two 1/4"-20 and one 3/8"-16 threaded holes for mounting additional accessories.
The Cool-Lux SHIFT Baseplate is a multi-purpose shoulder mount rig designed for large and mid-size cameras. Attach a handgrip, and you have a full solution. Different handgrips (telescoping and walnut) are available from Cool-Lux. But, you can also upgrade it with cheeseplates and counterweights from Cool-Lux, for standard, cine, and ENG applications.

The Cool-Lux Counterweight features three stackable 1.5 lb weights and comes out to a total of 4.7 lb with the rod bridge included. The rod bridge offers one 3/8"-16 and two 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes for additionally attaching top handles, cheese plates, and other accessories. The weights are milled from solid carbon steel and coated with a durable nickel plated finish. The rod bridge is milled from aluminum.
