Electro-Voice R300-HD Overview

The Electro-Voice R300-HD is a cost-effective, all-metal handheld wireless microphone system well suited for tabletop use, or as part of an AV installation, in small- to medium-sized conference centers, educational facilities, and performance spaces.

The R300-HD includes the R300 antenna-diversity receiver and the HT300 handheld microphone transmitter with a PL22 cardioid, dynamic capsule. The system has a 150' operating range and features 32 pre-progammed frequencies to scan for optimal transmission, along with removable antennas that allow the user to rackmount the receiver (with separately available rackmount kit and antenna cables).

The ClearScan feature on the R300 receiver automatically searches for the ideal operating frequency, while the EZ Sync button locks the transmitter to the correct channel via infrared. The system's antenna-diversity technology helps to reduce noise and interference by comparing the incoming signals on the two antennas and using the stronger one. The receiver features both 1/4" phone and XLR outputs on the rear, and a power supply is included. The HT300 transmitter operates for up to 14 hours on a pair of AA alkaline batteries.

Designed for small venues and educational, conference, and performance spaces
ClearScan—finds the clearest channel available with the touch of a button
EZsync—infrared channel transfer from receiver to transmitter for easy and error-free setup
PL22 cardioid dynamic microphone element for clear vocals with less background sound
Rugged metal transmitter with Mute/On/Off switch, backlit LCD display, and battery gauge
14-hour battery life from two AA alkaline batteries
32 preset channels, with compatible groups of 8 channels for simultaneous use
Detachable half-wave TNC antennas enable use with optional APD4+ antenna distribution system, which can provide antennas and power for up to 4 receivers
Metal receiver chassis with optional rackmount ears and front-mount antenna cables

Am having issues with my EV R300 set The RF signal is OK but no AF signal yet the channel on the receiver and transmitter is OK I have tried even changing the frequency but no help. What could be the problem? Regards
Asked by: humphrey
It could be a problem with the microphone itself, or MUTE may be slected; please check connections and replace mic if necessary. question

EV Technical Support was cluelesss and told me they don't sell this in C Band in the US and that there are no issues with 600mhz soon being obsolete. Their Frequency Finder webpage says there are no useable frequencies for this mic in the NYC area. Anybody using this wireless mic system with C Band in the NYC area?
Asked by: maestrosteve
The Electro-Voice R300-HD is available in the C-band (516MHz-532MHz), and currently can be operated in the NYC metropolitan area.

question

What will happen when starting 2020, most of the 600 mhz range will no longer be available to wireless mic users?
Asked by: Peter
The Electro-Voice R300-HD handheld wireless microphone system in frequency band C operates below the 600 MHz range; 516-532MHz. You will have no immediate need to change your system. Here is some more information directly from the FCC.gov website: Wireless microphone users, whether licensed or unlicensed, may continue to operate on a secondary basis in the bands that continue to be available for and used on a primary basis by broadcast television (TV channels 2-36). Use of these TV band frequencies, which fall below 608 MHz, remain available for wireless microphone use after the incentive auction. FCC 15-100, FCC 15-99 Licensed wireless microphones may also operate on the specific frequencies in the 600 MHz duplex gap (652-657 MHz), and unlicensed wireless microphones may operate on a portion of the 600 MHz guard band (614-616 MHz) or a portion of the 600 MHz duplex gap (657-663 MHz). FCC 15-100, FCC 15-99, DA 17-314.

I see on the back that it has a 12V 500mA input power jack. Does B&H sell an AC adaptor that works with this system? Also, does the microphone also require batteries, and if so, what type? Thank you!
Asked by: Mark
Unfortunately the description of the Receiver does not indicate whether an AC adapter is included in the package as sold. The description, however, makes it very clear that the microphone (sender) uses 2 AA alkaline batteries which should work for 14 hrs.
