Great, but not perfect for me

I use this with my Canon SX540HS and the OptiView 50 Viewfinder. It is the best solution I've found for the particularly glare-y LCD screen on that camera when used in daylight. Having said that, this frame is too wide for that screen and I really only get good adhesion on the top and bottom rail, with the left rail hanging completely off the camera. I have had the adhesive separate with fairly moderate handling while hiking. My solution to that is to have spare frames on hand. They're not too expensive but I would love to be able to purchase frames that fit my LCD on all sides.

Won't work on my cameras

Frames won't allow the live view to close properly on my GH3 & GH2 cameras. The price is such that I would have to spend almost what I paid for them to return them. I guess they will go on the bone shelf and maybe I will find a use for them down the road.

Useful to have extra bases

I had to adapt the metal frame to get a good fit on a Canon 7D. The first base over hung the camera buttons. I used a Dremel on a second frame to remove on end. It works even with only 3 of the 4 magnets. The frames are not reusable so extra frames are needed if you need to make any adaptions for fit. They are cheap so it makes sense to get an extra in case you need it

They work ok, but are shoddy

I wrote a review several weeks ago that said these work well, That is still true, BUT, they are very badly painted, With one use half the paint flaked off. After three or four uses (I man attaching the shade) most of the black paint is gone. It looks pretty stupid to have such poor workmanship on a $10,000 camera. B&H, please tell your supplier to do a better job with better paint.

question

Will the Elvid metal frame fit Fuji XT2 camera LCD screen and can it be peeled off and reinstalled again ?
Asked by: Hoa
The frame is not supposed to be reusable; that is why replacements are sold. Also we are not able to test whether the frame functions without interfering with the tilt function.
