    Watson LP-E6N reviews

    LP-E6N Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1900mAh) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 133.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from not even close! This battery is not even close to a Canon LP-E6N. It has several issues: - It seems to have only about 1/3 the capacity of a Canon LP-E6N battery (I can barely get 100 shots with this battery while I can get 300+ shots using a Canon battery) -It does not show correct charging status ( the charging light changes to 3 blinks in seconds even though the battery was almost discharged) - Even when charged overnight, it has only about 78% capacity when placed in my 6D Mark II. I am returning it to B and H to see if they can send a battery with a different date code (this one is BM0917) or if this one battery is just defective.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Limited functionality in Canon 5d Mk IV firmware 1.03 I bought two of these Watson brand batteries to drive my 5D Mk IV (firmware 1.03) with the Canon BG-E20 grip. The camera only shows one battery installed and the remaining capacity for the other is not accurate (it never moves off 100 percent). In fairness to this brand, I've tried several brands of aftermarket batteries with my 5Dm4, and none of them work properly after updating to firmware 1.03. It would appear that Canon has finally found a way of detecting and crippling aftermarket batteries in a way that no one has been able to circumvent (yet). Cheaper would be good, but reliability is essential, so I'll be returning these and buying the Canon batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Compatible with Canon 5D Mark IV Battery works, but will not communicate with the camera. Looks like Canon has upped their game to keep aftermarket batteries out of their products. Otherwise, the battery looks well made. Probably came from the same factory...just without the necessary programming to communicate with the Mark IV. No battery level display. Can't fault the battery for this, just want everyone to know before ordering.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More expensive than OEM battery I bought this battery back in August '16, it has less then 50 cycles on it and I now have to replace it. I rotate my batteries to distribute the work load when I go out and shoot and still the OEM battery is out preforming it even though the OEM is a smaller battery. So I spent $40 for this battery, $64 for a OEM replacement, totals $104 spent on a extra battery. I should've just went with the OEM from the start.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so sure My new 6d Mark II does not recognize it without a Canon Battery in the grip. Without the grip the 6d does not recognize it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have seen these out live the CANON Factory batteries! I have used these Watson (off brand CANON batteries) in a 5D mk ii, 6D, 50D, 60D and now 5D mkiii and they have been great. Never a problem and like I noted have out lived CANON batteries. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but doesn't last as long as OEM I got this in March, 2014, when I bought my D800. While the first one I had did not charge correctly, Watson was quick to replace it with a battery that did. I've been using that battery evenly with the OEM battery now for 44 months. In the last 3 months however, I've noticed that the Watson no longer fully charges according the D800's battery indicator while the OEM does. Still though, for the support you get and how long it has lasted, it is a worthwhile alternative to the OEM if you wanted to save some money now. Just be ready to replace it sooner then the OEM battery!
