Delkin Devices 256GB CFast 2.0 Reviews

Not so reliable after awhile

At first I thought these were great because they seemed very reliable despite being much cheaper than the Sandisk cards. I have 3 and they are all now failing one by one. Every single time I turn the camera off or change the battery, once I hit record I get an error message CFAST buffer overflow. Recording has stopped. At first it was only under those circumstances but now it just randomly happens at the worst times. I thought it might be my c300 but my 4 year old sandisk card never gives me any issues at all.

Seems to work

I got this card for my new Z-Cam E2. I haven't tried to record RAW yet but it seems to work fast enough for ProRes HQ 4k recording. That's after a full format in Windows, I tried it with just format in the camera and got the dreaded slow card error. This is true for most cards in this camera though.

Does not work with canon c200

See attached screenshot. I couldn't get it to record for longer than about 7 seconds before the message would display and recording would stop. I tried initializing the card, turning the camera off / on, just couldn't get it to work : (

Used on a C300 MKII and it failed. This is the only card that I have had fail. Was recording fine and the camera could not recognize card. I had formatted in camera before using card.

Finally I can shoot for over 1 hour in 4K

This card allows me to capture over 1 hour of 4k footage without taking a break.

Works mostly OK, some limitations

These have help up for me for years, used in the Ursa Mini Pro. The problems: they take about 2 minutes to format, as opposed to about 3 seconds for my Lexars. Also, they start dropping frames at the highest bitrate codecs, like slow-mo raw, where the lexars don't. For 4k 4:2:2 footage, they are totally fine.

Don't buy!!

My three different cameras and computer can't read this card. Also, this card was very hot during work. Don't waste your money.

Weird case quality but work fine

I bought 2 piece, one is great but second has some loose and don't let me trust. I don't know what I should think about this. (work fine but when you grab to hand you feel like this card can break in half) Ursa mini pro g2 on Braw and sigle card write can easly (all) 4.6K res. at 3:1 to 30 fps, 60fps at 5:1 120 fps at 8:1 ( I dont try longer than 5 min but for this time work ok)

question

Is this card compatible with the Canon c300 Mark ii?
Asked by: Bill R.
At this time, only SanDisk and Lexar are making cards that have been approved by Canon. This has everything to do with the card being a sufficient quality so that it proves to be a reliable and safe for your footage.

question

Has anyone used these cards for the Canon 1DX Mark ii for 4k 24, 30 and 60fps?
Asked by: Jason
The Delkin Devices 256GB Cinema CFast 2.0 Memory Card would be compatible for use with the Canon EOS 1DX Mark II DSLR Camera for 4K UHD video recording at all frame rates. Simply ensure that you format the memory card in the camera before usage.Canon states on page 316 of the Canon EOS 1DX Mark II DSLR Camera's instruction manual that a CFast 2.0 memory card is required for recording 4K UHD video at 59.94p or 50p frame rates. CFast 2.0 is also recommended for the slower 23.98p, 24p, 25p, and 29.97p frame rates, though you may use a CompactFlash card that is UDMA 7 and has a 100MB/sec. or faster write speed.
