    Genaray ESBF-75 reviews

Escort Bi-Color LED Flood Light is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Great I wouldn't give the unit I received a great rating of 5. I was tempted with a 3, but it was more 3.5... The unit and the bag and all accessories is a nice kit, well packed, so that is a plus. I thought the remote was included, it isn't, another purchase. The Escort is bright, and can be really bright. Seems solid. The upper barn door on mine is almost worthless when it is less than straight out from unit. It flops down closed all by itself, which is really poor. I see no way to make it stiffer, so might have to get out some tools and crimp something. The barn doors overall don't really block the light, more like a very slight feather so they don't work great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Light for the Money Color accurate, well constructed, affordable and user friendly are some but not of the features of this professional bi-color light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy another in a heartbeat This is a terrific deal for what it does and the accessories with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact , powerful, and versatile Used for single camera news shoots. Light and compact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lights Plenty of power for tight work. The barn doors, seemingly cumbersome are a great asset to these lights. Because of the lights size and weight, they can be used in tight quarters and for still life, they can be easily hand held for quick adjustments in light direction etc. if you want to try a different lighting angle. 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product in every respect My personal experience with Genaray is near flawless. This light kit arrived with all components individually wrapped within it's own custom bag packaged in a custom box dropped inside a shipping carton. If your light arrives damaged it's because the couriers were playing football with it, not due to shoddy packaging! I have yet to put the light through an actual 'shoot' of any serious nature but I've set it up every which way possible, tested chargers and power adapters, ran it AC and DC, fiddled with an impressive set of barn doors and concluded without hesitation that this is a bloody awesome light at regular price, never mind the sale sticker I cashed in on, and regardless of the hefty penalty paid for being a Canadian shopper. As of yet I haven't found Genaray products in Canada. Not sure why. So I'm happy that B&H can service me. The build is excellent. Finish is excellent. Mounts are a little tight but in a world of a little tight and a little loose, er on the side of tight! Light output from 32k to 56k and dimming from 1-99% appears everything its' supposed to be. I'm not a human light meter so I couldn't possibly lay out a technical analysis but from my laymen's perspective it's impressive. Connectivity to stands etc. is excellent especially when combining the assets of the mount component of the handle grip, and the spigot stand mount. I mounted this on a ballhead for 360 flexibility. The custom tote is big enough to rearrange some components and create more room, especially if you discard the hand grip (least likely usable item!). I was actually able to also fit my Genaray 6200T in the same bag, giving me all my Genaray LED gear in one bag. The only area I would want something different is traditional analog dials for temperature and brightness. The digital control panel is a bit fussy, not as tactile although this system also marries with a wireless remote for on the fly changes while still behind the camera. I'd pay an extra $20 for both!
