Yes, it prints from the app. I’ll take a picture or download one, and open it in the app. You can edit. Then it sends from app to the printer. It also has a button to do a reprint if you’re doing multiple copies of the same one.

You can use it while it charges the battery over USB.If you want to power it over USB only (without battery inserted) it will not work.

what is the minimum file size for quality pictures? I assume that the wallet size, even 1 megapixel would suffice.
Thanks! I like to use google photos to make prints with the SP2, and the freemium options allows 2 megapixels downloads. Im too lazy to use my external HD to select full-Rez images for small prints such as instax. Id rather lay on a couch look at my google photo collection.

I think they are referring to how many prints can be achieved with a full battery. It would depend on a number of factors including.- If they were printed consecutively. If battery had some time to recover. The amount of time between prints and such. I have only printed about 30 at once for a small wedding book and that was fine. I haven't experienced any probs with battery life in normal use. I would imagine the printer itself has a far greater life. I had the previous model for 2 years without fail. Good luck.
