Lorex LNZ32P4B overview

  • 1Description

Featuring an IP66-rated housing, the LNZ32P4B 2.1MP Outdoor PTZ Network Dome Camera from Lorex by FLIR can function outdoors, in inclement weather, and in extreme temperatures for use in a wide range of environments. It is equipped with a 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor for up to 1920 x 1080 video resolution, and it uses a 2.7-11mm varifocal lens for a 95 to 30° horizontal field of view. In addition, you can pan the camera 355°, tilt it 90°, and optically zoom the camera up to 4x to choose the exact area you would like to monitor. You can also digitally zoom up to 16x for focusing within your field of view. The camera uses a mechanical IR cut filter for switching between color and B&W images in varying light conditions, and it features a ClearNight imaging function for clear video in low lighting and maximum recording efficiency. The RJ45 Ethernet connection includes PoE technology, enabling you to use one interface for both data and power transfer, minimizing the number of wires required for setup. This camera comes with a wall mount bracket, 100' Cat5e Ethernet cable, and a mounting kit for installation.

    Lorex LNZ32P4B reviews

LNZ32P4B 2.1MP Outdoor PTZ Network Dome Camera is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective design Nice camera with a serious design defect. If you use the wall mount, the camera can only pan across the back of the view because the stopping point is centered at the front of the camera, which is absurd. You can pan 355 degrees starting from looking straight ahead all the way around through the back wall. You cannot pan from the left to the right and back again across the front. So, this would be nice if you want to scan the wall instead of your front view. The problem is that the cable notch, located on the wall mount (shown on page 11 of the User Manual), is molded in the wrong position. It took 3 tech support calls (with long waits) to get them to recognize this problem. I can't believe anyone else hasn't complained about this before. Lorex should remanufacture the wall mounts to replace the current defective ones; otherwise, I would strongly recommend against buying this camera, unless you want to monitor the wall that the camera is mounted on. I brought 4 of these and I really regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little camera but mounting bracket needs work. Great PTZ camera but it does not have night vision. The included mounting bracket is a little weird in that the camera has 358 degrees of turn, but when you mount it to a wall using the bracket, the 2 degree stop point is almost 90 degrees to the wall. So if you pan from the left side of the wall to the right side, you can't pan out across the field. Instead you have to pan inward to the wall and then out the right side! Who designed it? The bracket is really 180 degrees backwards!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good features did not work out of box. was stuck in the down position and had to manually roll the lens vertically as the motors couldn't overcome it. takes some getting used to for setting up a scan path, but works well overall. one of these can do the work of 2-3 fixed cameras.
