iPATROL Riley Home Security Camera is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from IPatrol seems to work pretty good Works pretty much like the ads say it does. Highlights: Start-up guide made it easy to set up and connect to wi-fi. Smart phone App downloaded fine and the app works the robot pretty well. Auto docking and un-docking works real well. Pretty clever. A few drawbacks: Camera isn't too sensitive to light so unless you leave all the house lights on the video feed is pretty dark. The on-board IR LED, which you can easily turn on/off remotely, works pretty good but is just that, IR, so the video feed using this is mono-chrome. Also, the robot moves slower than depicted in the sales video. It certainly wouldn't keep up with any pet of sorts. But it does work pretty good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from hours of fun for both kitties and humans The little robot friend proved to be a wonderful toy for us to interact and play with our cats, while away or at home. They are very curious about it and love to be around it when it's on (moving about). The night vision quality is excellent. The only superbad thing about it is that the battery does not last very long at all. It would also be great if it could remember where the docking station was and go find it when it's low on battery (which is very often).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant gadget This is actually better than expected the build quality is excellent and it is made of a high gloss thick plastic. Extremely easy to set up took no more than 5 minutes. My Internet at home is very fast so even with the resolution set to high there is almost nil lag. Picture quality is very clear and crisp. Auto docking works a treat as do the other functions. Very pleased with item and would recommend without hesitation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant and funny This does exactly what it is advertised to do. The company needs to update its installation literature. To install this on your Wi-Fi you need to go to the Wi-Fi on your iPad, don't bother with the installation information on the app. It took me half an hour to get it installed because I was confused, but when I got it installed and charged up it went running around the house chasing my cats. It is funny and useful as well. If you suddenly wake up with a jolt worried that your house is burning down you can use this to make sure everything is okay.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product only lasted a year This product is a great product, except the internal battery doesn't even last 5 minutes off the charger after 1 year of ownership. I tried to contact iPatrol 4 TIMES for a solution or battery maintenance, but they never got back to me. Find an alternative product. Do not buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well! Robot works surprisingly well, no issues with connectivity to smart phone or WiFi. It connects within 5 seconds. I can also operate and view over smartphone using 4G service. Note you can't connect to any computer system at this time, only to devices such as the play store for Android and the iPhone app store you can download and install the app. The night vision is also good as well as the speaker and mic also works well. The only downfall is the tracks, when moving are too noisy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not ready for primetime Was delivered quick and was packaged very nicely. However, after trying several times over many days I could not get the device to connect to the Internet. Tried both Android and Apple devices and still no luck. Company did not provide any help with this setup and so I was forced to return the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool gadget for a frequent traveler. Roam the house when you're away, keep an eye on your pets, ask the wife if she needs milk before you leave the office with the two way system. Fast and easy setup, the only real complaint is that I wish it had faster driving speed.
