What exactly does built in cable raceway mean? Is there a female or male XLR connection at the bottom of the pole?
Asked by: Jasmine B.
Thank you for your email. the "raceway" is a channel in the pole that guides the cable to the end of the pole for easy management. This pole does not have a built in XLR connection or cable

The BC12 raceway is not wide enough to fit a standard XLR cable. Design flaw or is there a solution for this?
Asked by: Tim
Some customers have reported that the cable raceway on the E-Image 4-Section Telescoping Carbon Fiber Microphone Boompole does have a very narrow at the top of the pole. One customer mentioned having filed it to make it wider. You will need to use a cable that has a narrow profile to fit the raceway. Ambient Recording does offer slim XLR cables specifically for internal use with boompoles.
