The red Reflect Aware Sport Earphones from JBL combine active noise cancellation with adaptive noise-control technology, allowing you to mix in environmental sounds for greater awareness of your surroundings. They provide a safer way to hear your music on your iOS player of choice, whether riding a bike or working out in locations that require you to stay aware.

The earphones feature 14.8mm dynamic drivers with a frequency range of 10 Hz to 22 kHz, and use the Lightning connector to deliver audio and power for noise cancellation directly from the iOS device. This eliminates the need for a bulky battery, which is advantageous when using them for sport activities. The earbuds are sweat-proof, water resistant, and have an ergonomic design that ensures a secure fit for intense workouts.

Download the free My JBL Headphones app to adjust the amount of noise cancellation and ambiance awareness directly from your iOS device. The app also lets you optimize the sound of your music using EQ presets and customized settings.

The Reflect Aware features an in-line remote with mic and controls to take calls, manage your music playback, and adjust volume. It comes with three pairs of sport eartips, three pairs of regular eartips, and a carrying pouch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally stress free at work! I had been struggling the last few years at work to concentrate on my job but my coworkers like talk and one of them is extremely loud. I was skeptical that these would cut out the ear-piercing coworker, but as soon as I put these in my ears I heard angels singing! ..actually it was a low volume slow Beatles song and as I looked over at my coworker, her head was bobbling around and her mouth was moving and I was finally at peace. Thank you a million times over JBL for creating these heavenly earbuds!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST. So long marketing hype for other brands. I have been using wireless headphones of the same price point for a popular brand known for heavy bass. I have had a few and after them breaking rather abruptly I decided to try these, cord and all. The sound is insane! Bass out of control. Literally these are not for people who want to hear their surroundings. They are awesome, I am so pleased. App is cool too, not gimicky, just easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Siren/buzzing sound I updated my JBL Reflect Aware headphones through the app and now they make a siren/buzzing sound when I active ANC

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor durablity. I bought this product three months ago. During those brief three months they were great. They produced amazing sounds. Then unfortunately one day the left earbud started malfunctioning now it does not work anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for running I bought these for the new iPhone 7 and have been using them for the last 2 weeks. I like the control and the ability to change the ambient noise canceling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not meet expectations Sweat proof? Right. I can't even put them in 30 minutes after having showered in the morning without the sound dampening down to nothing. And on a good day, most of what hear is the rattling of the in-ear contact. I hear my breath more than music or the conversation I'm trying to have. At least the noise reduction works, but then it drains the batteries too quickly, and since it has the new iPhone connector, I can't keep it hooked up to a power source to prevent that. Overall, an expensive mistake.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No substitute for Bose 20i for In-Flight Use Having waited over 18 months from CES 2015 for JBL to actually release the Reflect Aware, and having just ordered an iPhone 7, I immediately purchased a pair. I was hoping I could replace my Bose 20i for air travel, along with my mid-tier audiophile analog in-ears. Not having to worry about recharging the Bose QC-20i's, not to mention their rather awkward in line battery pack/CPU was my key motivation. The JBL's are, alas, no substitute, though they may be better suited to the sports use for which they are targeted. However, even on a home treadmill, the highest setting of the JBL noise cancelling was subtle to say the least, whereas the Bose cuts out the low level background noise completely. Sonically they seemed no great shakes: rather muddy bass and maximum volume is modest. The design and the fit and finish are good as is the packaging and the control app is OK, including a custom equalizer: a big benefit of keeping the processing on the phone end. But I was underwhelmed overall. For road running they may be fine but I'm not sure they are much of an improvement over well-fitting passive in-ears. Speaking of passive, if you turn off the noice cancelling the sound quality improves to my ear - less muddy bass - but the maximum volume level is subjectively even lower. That JBL waited over 18 months to launch the Reflect Aware and that HTC is giving away the USB-C version for free from Day One: my sense is that JBL doesn't think they have a hit on their hands. That they have not been prominently or broadly reviewed on release despite being a real first to market from a marketing powerhouse in this space, seems confirmation. Hopefully Bose has a Lightening/USB-C version of their QC-20 waiting in the wings!
