TP-Link AP300 overview

  • 1Description

The AP300 Wireless-AC1200 Dual-Band Gigabit Access Point from TP-Link is a multi-functional device that can be configured to provide you with Internet connectivity where and how you need it. It features dual-band connectivity and two detachable antennas that allow you to connect to the 5 GHz band for faster speeds, ideal for streaming high-definition videos and online gaming. Compared to the 2.4 GHz band, which delivers up to 300 Mbps, the 5 GHz band can reach up to 867 Mbps for a combined total of 1200 Mbps. Furthermore, Beamforming technology helps ensure you get a stable and reliable connection by optimizing the wireless signals and directing them towards your devices. Depending on your needs, the AP300 can be set up in AP mode, repeater or bridge mode, client mode, or multi-SSID mode. Setup is fast and easy with its intuitive web interface, which can also be used to monitor and personalize settings.

AC1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi
The AP300 can provide you with speeds of up to 1200 Mbps and dual-band connectivity, which lets you connect to the 5 GHz band for faster speeds. It's ideal for Ultra-HD streaming video and online gaming whereas the 2.4 GHz band can handle all your everyday Internet needs such as browsing the Web, sending emails, and checking social media sites.
Enhanced Coverage
Equipped with two detachable dual-band antennas, the AP300 can cover an entire house and eliminate dead zones. It also features Beamforming technology that helps optimize wireless signals, directing them towards your devices for a more stable and reliable connection even over long distances.
Multi-Mode Deployment
The AP300 can be configured into many different modes. They consist of the following:

  • AP-Mode (Default Mode) - Change an existing wired connection into a wireless network so you can connect your favorite devices wirelessly.
  • Repeater/Bridge Mode - Expands coverage by transmitting an existing wireless signal into previously unreachable areas.
  • Client Mode - Acts as a wireless adapter so you can connect your wireless device to a wired network.
  • Multi-SSID Mode - Supports up to four separate SSIDs and VLANs, making it ideal for offices where different departments with different access policies share a Wi-Fi network.
Gigabit Ethernet Connection
Using the Gigabit Ethernet port, you'll have a faster connection ideal for wired devices like smart TVs, game consoles, or desktop computers.
800 MHz Dual-Core Processor
An 800 MHz Dual-Core Broadcom processor splits tasks between the cores, improving efficiency and performance even with multiple devices running complex tasks simultaneously.
Easy Setup
Simplify setup with the AP300's intuitive web interface. It will make installation faster and even allows you to monitor and personalize settings.
