Ledgo LGV58C2K2 overview

  • 1Description

Aptly named, this VersaTile Bi-Color LED Mat from Ledgo is a two-light kit comprised of two flexible 9 x 16" LED mats, a collapsible aluminum alloy frame with integrated 5/8" stand mount to combine the mats into a 16 x 18" panel, and power accessories for working with either AC power or DC power via an optional V-mount battery. The LED mats themselves produce a soft quality of light and have a color temperature range of 3200-5600K along with a high TLCI of 96 and CRI of 95 for accurate color rendering. Full 100-0% dimming adjustment is possible and the lights' notably slim, compact, and flexible design make them ideal for working in tight spaces. Helping to further soften the light output, a diffuser is included and uses elastic and hook-and-loop connectors to stay taut and provide an even light quality.

Even though the LEDs are flexible and can be bent or rolled to fit into tight spaces, the kit also includes a collapsible 16 x 18" frame to combine the mats into a panel, and this frame has an integrated 5/8" receptacle for mounting to a stand. For working on location or in the studio, the lights can also be run from 90-250 VAC power using the AC power pack. It can also be operated from the included control box, which features a V-mount battery plate for using an optional rechargeable battery. Additionally, the lights also have an IP64 rating for use in harsh environments.

    Ledgo LGV58C2K2 reviews

    VersaTile Bi-Color LED Mat 2-Light Kit (16 x 18") is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft even spread/high tlci score: I ended up buying four of these to use with my travel 12x8 green screen package. I'm always changing up the lights I use for my green screen shoots and these have been the best lights yet. As for lighting a green screen, they have given me the flattest waveform yet. I use the other two as a key and fill and something else for a backlight. Even my clients, whom don't usually notice stuff like this, commented on how great the background and subject look. Eventually I'll buy the WiFi controller and see if that helps save time during filming. I was worried that they wouldn't be strong enough, but I'm using them at half intensity and still getting an F4 @ 850iso. The only downside is the setup. It takes longer to set up the frame and all the attachments. I can't get a precise time to set up each light, but it takes a lot longer than setting up a 1x1 led with diffusion. The dimmer attachment also needs to be re-worked. I'm a big Ledgo fan and this light didn't disappoint.
