Ledgo LG-R320C Overview

Well-suited for beauty lighting, the Bi-Color Flood Shoot-Through LED Ring Light from Ledgo provides a soft, even light quality for close-up work along with the distinct shape to produce ring-shaped catchlights in your subjects eyes. It has a large 18.3" exterior diameter and its shoot-through design affords a 12" diameter opening to work within, permitting the use of a range of cameras and lenses. The ring light has a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 95 to ensure accurate color rendition along with an onboard dimming adjustment and a color temperature range from 3200-5600K to match varying ambient light situations.

Further extending its versatility, this light can be powered by either AC or DC power sources via the 100-240 VAC adapter or using two optional Sony NP-F-type batteries or other external power sources via a D-tap cable. It is suitable for use in the studio, using the integrated 1/4"-20 mount or the included bracket with 5/8" receptacle, or can also be used as a run-and-gun light via the built-in dual handles and camera mounting plate that supports mounting to 15mm rail systems. Additionally, benefitting its use for social media shooters and those recording with mobile devices, there is a built-in USB charging port to keep your phone or tablet's battery life topped off.

First time I placed the camera mount on my tripod, the center rod broke. Do not recommend based on that alone. Light is great if you are using your own mount or hands I guess.

I get why everyone has been saying this light is a good value, and the light is nice and even with good controls. I just wanted to say that I was a bit nervous about the camera mount after some other reviews had mentioned problems with it, but it seems quite solid for a mid-sized DSLR and zoom lens at least. I would want to make sure and keep the camera's center of gravity over the light though, I could see the hardware not handling extreme position settings very well.

Lots of light where you need it

I use this light to take closeup pictures of plants and flowers and macro photos. This ring light puts light where it's needed and eliminates shadows. The color changes from warm to white easily. The only problem I have is it is heavy and cumbersome. There is no way to take a picture while holding the light and no way to handhold the light with one hand. A switch on one of the handles would make this review 5 stars.

Just putting this together for the first time, the plastic piece that holds the camera and connects it to the ring light snapped, making the whole purchase a waste.

I love how easy it is to adjust the color temperature and intensity of the light to suit the shot. The high CRI rating seems accurate, which is essential for my use. The unit is complete, except for optional batteries, although I added an Arca clamp to the rails. It is heavier than I expected and nothing seems flimsy.

It is a 32w LED. Watts are more important than quantity of LED in determining power as some lights use a few high power LED and other lots of low power LED.
