Ledgo LGR320C Overview

  • 1Description

Well-suited for beauty lighting, the Bi-Color Flood Shoot-Through LED Ring Light from Ledgo provides a desirable soft, even light quality for close-up work along with the distinct shape to produce ring-shaped catchlight. It has a large 18.3" exterior diameter and its shoot-through design affords a 12"-diameter opening to work within, permitting the use of a range of cameras and lenses. The ring light has a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 95 to ensure accurate color rendition along with an onboard dimming adjustment and a color temperature control from 3200-5600K to match varying ambient light situations.

Further extending its versatility, this light can be powered by either AC or DC power sources via the included 100-240 VAC adapter or using two optional Sony NP-F-type batteries or other external power sources via a D-tap cable. It is suitable for use in the studio, using the integrated 1/4"-20 mount or the included bracket with 5/8" receptacle, or can also be used as a run-and-gun light via the built-in dual handles and camera mounting plate that supports mounting to 15mm rail systems. Additionally, benefitting its use for social media shooters and those recording with mobile devices, there is a built-in USB charging port to keep your phone or tablet's battery life topped off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery Ports didn't work upon arrival. ?Returning I bought this light because I worked with someone that had one and I loved the way it worked and made the subjects look. ?But when I received mine a week ago, both battery ports don't work at all. ?The power adaptor works just fine but I really need those battery ports to work for location shooting. ?I'm returning for an exchange in hopes that a new one will just work correctlty. ?It's a great light, but I need it to work!! ?If my replacement doesn't work, I'll update this review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it perfect for my IG, Youtube and FB Live Shows I had been eyeing ring lights for a while and needed an extra light that was small and portable yet powerful for when I go Live from my cell phone or anywhere in the house or on the go that the lighting is not so good. This thing came through shinning really bright light and being able to adjust it to be warmer or cooler for the right look.  I like how I can have it above me and tilt it own to kind of rain down on me at an angle. I have not set my phone on it or a camera on it yet so I cant speak to using that part of it, but this thing just plain works. I really like the hand rail holders if you are doing a run and gun shoot.  It seems like they thought of everything with his one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good, Indeed! OK, it's plastic; so it can feel "cheap"... but in reality this is a very nicely thought out product worth consideration. It probably won't survive being tossed in a lighting trunk with a spotlight dropped on it, but hey, nothing is indestructible and work within it's limitations and you'll be surprised. It is lightweight, that's a plus. Even with a couple of big Sony batteries on it the thing is very manageable. BTW it will run of dual batts (yes, you must have two batts installed, it won't run off just one) OR a wall plug. Big plus. It can mount to a lightstand, tripod, be hand held, or on 15mm rods. Again, big pluses. The blue handle is bendable. Hands down, this thing has about every conceivable mounting option covered AND a couple of hand-held options. Light is bright and even. Perfect for product photography and studio macro work. Temp is adjustable as is brightness. So far, no issues at all. It even comes with it's own carry case (but I also saved the cardboard box with handle for a bit more storage and transport protection). I don't think you can beat this for versatility and bang for the buck! It may be a bit bigger than it looks in the pictures, though. I have had no problems shooting with a DVX200, C300, and various DSLR's as the internal diameter is generous. I like it and use it often. Recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 stars for the value The light is a little fragile, but it has a lot of features that make it very versatile. Plug in it, use the batteries, carrying handles for free hand panning of FB lives, camera rail you can add a phone mount to, make this a single light source that can solve a lot of functions that go way beyond a youtube make-up shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing light I love the Ledgo LED lights, I had their first models of the regular LEDs and they are amazing. This ring light is simply stunning the amount of light that it outputs and how beautifully it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PRODUCT SHOT WINNER I bought this LED ring light to shoot product shots of ceramics, it works great. And the daylight setting of 5500 K matches the raw daylight setting in PhotoShop....so everything is color perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product - Horrible Case The product itself is great but the bag that came with the item has already ripped. Ive only had the product for two weeks and it hasnt been used on a real world shoot. Either the material used for the bag is really cheap, stitching on the seams are horrible, or both.

Are the batteries float charged whenever the AC supply is plugged in, or do I need a separate charger for them?
    Asked by: Erno M
No... the unit does not appear to charge batteries when they are installed but the light is running on A/C. You indeed will need a separate charger (which is actually not a bad thing since the NPF's can take 8-10 hours to charge the bigger ones)
