The first Rokinon lens to feature autofocus, the AF 50mm f/1.4 FE Lens is a fast standard prime designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless digital cameras. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture is well suited to controlling depth of field for selective focus imagery, and also suits working in low-light conditions. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements to minimize spherical aberrations for cleaner, clearer image quality and an Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to limit flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions. The lens' autofocus motor works in conjunction with Sony cameras' AF systems for quick and precise focusing performance, and manual focus override is also available for more refined control. A versatile normal-length lens, this lens mixes a fast, bright design with autofocus to present an ideal all-around optic.

Rokinon 50mm f/1.4 AF Reviews
Beautiful look
This older version of the lens is definitely showing it's age in the electronics area. But I gave 5 stars because it was on sale, and for the $ it's a beautiful lens that is very fast. The autofocus is probably the main issue. Compared to more modern designs, it's very noisy, and not super fast. So sports would be out. I do mostly live concert shooting, and some interview work, and even with live mics, it doesn't seem loud enough to cause me audio issues. I use all external mics, so if you use the camera mic it would probably cause some issues. The look, clarity and sharpness are all amazing. (For video at least - I cant comment on how pixel peeping photographers would find it.)
Great lens with firmware v33
A good lens made better with firmware v33. Increases speed of AF significantly on A7III. Older AF motors are not silent but are not noisy for stills. Good colors, sharpness, and focus fall off.
Great Lens for Sony E
This is a fast lens (Wide aperture) for the Sony e mount system. However, it does tend to miss focus if you're shooting sports or action shots. Also, the motor is loud so keep that in mind if you're trying to shoot video. Otherwise this is a great photography lens for architecture or anything that doesn't move.
Rokin sturdy
I was debating since my girlfriend is with Sigma, I wanted something temporary as my everyday lens but since I bought it its my go to. It feels sturdy, solid and has a great feel. I am very happy for this buy. B&H did an amazing job delivering fast and safely right before the christmas rush.
brilliant lens - but A7RIII incompatible
I was happy with this lens with A7RII. But on A7RIII it doesn't work in continuous mode because firmware problem. I hope it will be fixed... But niw it doesn't work, Rokinin confirned this problem. It was one of ny most used lenses :(
THE LENS TROUBLE WITH AF
i recently bought this lenses on the kit with the (14-35-50mm AF Lens) by rokinon, exactly one month later, the lens stoped to read on my sony a7rIII, The other lenses are ok at this time, but i really don't understand this trouble, because the lens doesn't get damage on a job, it was very clean and used just a little bit. it's a really bad experience for me, who live's in brazil and here we don't have costumer assistence from rokinon.
Disappointing
Auto focus is average. The manual focus override is fairly useless. I'd much prefer an on/off switch. Image quality is pretty good. I suppose for the money, it's an ok purchase.
BEST BUY AMONG 35mm f1.4
If an f1.4 35mm is what you are looking for the Rokinon/Samyang at $400 US this has to be the best bang-for-your-dollar in photography. It’s sharp, has gorgeous bokeh and is solidly built out of metal. It compares well against options three times its price. The only drawback is its weight and if a light 35mm for use on a gimbal is your goal one of the f1.8 lenses might be a better way to go.
