    Epson ET16500 reviews

WorkForce ET-16500 EcoTank All-in-One Inkjet Printer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 103.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from unreliable When it worked, it was great. After only 2-3 months I have major problems with the feed, which grabs multiple sheets at a time, jamming & ruining even standard printer paper. (yes, I've adjusted the settings for various paper types) Recycled paper seems to send it into fits of feed jams, poor alignment & poor print quality. I was happy for the first two months, but by now I've spent so much time dealing with this thing that my productivity has definitely decreased. For my busy season I've been back to using a commercial printing service until I can set aside a day to work out all the various problems. My demand was low-medium, but this has been totally unreliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liquid Ink, the new standard!! Out of the box this printer is a thing of beauty. Super easy setup and install. We have a small office with multiple computers and it's running seamlessly. Being able to print and scan 11x17 is also a huge plus. And two paper cartridges make it effortless to print both. But what really stands out is INK! Actual Ink! Liquid Ink! Who would've thought? After a week of printing, the ink levels have not gone down one bit. Replacement ink is really affordable as well. Just take care when filling the tanks. If the eco-tank performs as they say it should, it will pay for itself in under a year. This is a review for the Epson ET-16500 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OSX/OS users, please be aware I have been a loyal Epson user for over 10 years, I have no problem so far with the physical performance, however be aware that this printer does not use airprint, and the iPrint mobile software you are supposed to use is designed like it is from the 1990s. For mobile devices, you cannot print out of Mail, you have to log into your email through a browser, and I have yet to be successful in printing an email, it calls up the page before the one I want to print. POOR interface. There is another piece to the puzzle "iConnect" which tells you that the printer has an email address, and you can email the printer to print your emails/photos/etc. What a confusing mess. I would send it back to Epson, but would have to pay to ship the monster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speedy and Reliable Epson sent me the printer to test, evaluate, and compose a review. This printer is excellent. Loved the fact the tanks instead of cartilages reduces the frequent need to be checked on. Also is the fastest Epson printer I've ever owned. Owned Epson printers since the Dot Matrix 1977 model came out (US Government) and has been reliable for years. For this printer, I've used ADF, Photos, B/W Text, B/W + Color Images and Color Text. Comes out excellent - clean, crisp, and sharp. Had this now for over 6 months and never had any issues - but of course I keep the drivers to firmware updated

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand New Printer Does Not Print Color I bought this printer a few months ago mainly because I would save on ink cost, and print 11X17 materials. Unfortunately this printer has given me many headaches. The biggest one which I can't solve as of today is that it does not print in color. I have tried to clean the heads, update the software, firmware, realign but nothing. My last solution is to conduct an ink flush, which means I would have to empty out the entire ink tank and then buy new ink, which totally goes against the purpose of buying this printer. I am looking to contact someone at Epson but there is no contact information. I would not purchase this printer as of today but would wait until they work out the kinks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breath Of Fresh Air! I bought this printer a month ago and consolidated my office equipment... The ink solution creates freedom to use the printer whenever you want without the nagging "limited laser cartridge" blues lurking in the background. And the larger size of the printer as a photocopier/scanner gives it the air of a true office machine and not that of a toy. And engineering documents are so easy to do now given the tabloid tray. Clearly the product was well engineered from the start, including the freedom of knowing the artificial ink limits are forever in the past now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used for a small mom and pop print shop This is my second eco tank printer I have bought the first is a et-4550 wanted to try the concept first, Bulk ink is great but speed is a little desired for it would be five stars with a page wide print head array but that is its only short coming I go though about 2-8 bottle of ink per color each month and before I had to get off brand ink to fill refillable cartridges. Now All they have to do is make a user replaceable inkhead page width and I would give them 5 stars but because of the 2 down falls I can only give 4 I will be buying again if it last as long as I think

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality Printer I needed a large format printer and this fills the bill. PROs: I have printed several hundred sheets and the tanks are still full. It never misses a sheet or double feeds, which is a big plus and the cassettes hold lots of paper. CON: Just one, I load a sheet in the rear feeder and if I forget to tell the printer that it's there, it ejects it and then prints from the cassette. It should automatically print on that sheet first without being told.
