The Multifunction Top Plate from Movcam is designed for use with RED Weapon, RED Raven, and RED Scarlet digital cinema cameras. Besides having a stock fan opening and many 1/4"-20 threads for accessories, the Multifunction Top Plate offers I/O connections via Touch A and Touch B for video output over LEMO, HDMI, and SDI, as well as AUX power outputs. The Top Plate also offers mounting points for the Movcam top handle as well as the stock top handle.

The printing of the white graphics was crooked on the LCD zone, my wooden camera start/stop QR handle is loose (holes on plate to shallow), missing a couple screws and WORST of all it won't fit on any DSMC2 body with the red side handle. Need to return this.

Is this directly compatible with the Red V-lock ...

Is this directly compatible with the Red V-lock I/O Expander? (via the dtap port on top of the Red expander). Or do you have to use the Movcam Rear Hot-Swap Adapter for it to work?

This product has a Retractable D-Tap to connect with either the RED I/O Expander or Movcam Hot Swap Adapter. You do not require the Movcam Hot Swap Adapter.

The MOVCAM top plate is compatible with all RED DSMC2 cameras.
