Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't mind the guy who gave this a bad review. I was reading the 1 star review and everything he says is operator error or computer error. I plugged these in to my 4 year old computer and my brand new computer that I just built. After watching a few music videos, playing some Overwatch and World of warcraft and talking to my friends in Mumble I completely disagree with everything he has said. The mute button causes me ZERO issues. Its actually quite nice having the mute button and volume button on the cord instead of fumbling around on the headset. I hear zero "popping". The audio quality is AMAZING. These are "gaming" headsets. Not Ipod headphones. They do not have tons and tons of bass. They are for hearing gunshots and footsteps in video games. Which to me the quality is unparalleled. This headset fits so comfortably on my head it feels like it has almost no weight. The ear covers completely cover my ears and it feels like they've used a felt like material instead of a cheap faux leather you'd get from another company. You're truly paying for quality here. If you take care of this headset it will last you a very long time. Hang it up when you're done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great headphones, annoying cable. Overall the only reason I gave it in any way a con (because these headphones are spectacular) is because of the one and only problem. That being after about 6 months of constant use the cables for some reason wrap up and stay twisted sometimes even pulling on my neck, because of poor cable construction. I've tried zip ties, cable "twists", and even tieing some ends to rulers so they would stay straight, however they just keep twisting making the cord very short and "yank" on my head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bargain inbound. Best computer/gaming headset. (HiFi Nutter) On way home from store plugged these into the iPad and played an Apple Music Video (Florenece and the Machine "No Light, No Light" live) and listened to the Harp play across the soundstage. Tears formed. (My go to headphones in my bag at that time were some Bowers&Wilkins P7 and Sony MDR-1A (bluetooth variants)). My daughter, choir leader, Sennheiser Momentum user, after a small listen (in car to compressed music) stated- these are the best headphones now that we have.... I don't agree completely with that statement. Each headphone has pros and cons, even if the only negative is price. The B&W P7s have a pretty great soundstage, with great front to back imaging. These AudioTechnicas are still being broken in. Being large driver headphones I expect this to take a few hundred hours until the finest of control settles. In my experience front-back soundstage and bass tightness and power are the final things to come from a little hardening of the parts involved... Even friends who don't believe in speaker driver burn-in have had headphones they thought had horrible bass and nasty grain come great after a few day use. After three days warm up (break in) the 'grain' that the ADG1X had out of the box is gone. (few!). Bass is starting to align, and it took a little over an hour for the soundstage to start to show real control. Front-back isn't done settling yet, but it is starting to really form... So; what do they do? Excellent sound stage. A brief StarWars Battlefront 'training' session allowed me to test out Dolby Headphone (from my Asus Essence STX) and found it to be spot on. This is the best Dolby Headphone rendition I have yet heard, and for years I have been after a set of 'cans that could do a soundstage like these. (a handful to choose between) So happy I did. These headphones clearly reveal sampling rate differences. I would say they are analytical, musical, & quite masterful. Most music genres' have played back fine. One or two sounded 'merely good'-bargain!
