Will this work for a Sennheiser MkH 50 short shotgun mic, with its rectangular like shape?
Asked by: Paul
The diameter (0.98") and form factor of the Sennheiser MKH 50 P48 Microphone make it incompatible for use with the Rode SM3-R Camera Shoe Shockmount. A recommended mounting option for the MKH 50 would be the Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension Lyre Shockmount (BH #RYINVHGMKIII), which could be paired with a shoe adapter such as the WindTech CM-38 Photo Hot Shoe to 3/8"-16 Male Adapter (BH #WICM38) for mounting onto a camera shoe.
