FLIR BHS-X overview

  • 1Description

The NTSC factory-configured FLIR BHS-X Command 320 x 240 Thermal Bi-ocular is a handheld thermal imaging device that enables operators to see, record, or relay images and videos of thermal signatures through fog, smoke, and foliage during the day or at night. At the core of this device is the 320 x 240 VOx uncooled microbolometer that operates at room temperature and provides a 9 Hz refresh rate. Depending on a choice of your optional lens, the field of view will range from 5 x 3° to 13 x 10°. This versatile thermal imager offers 2x digital zoom and a number of palettes and digital enhancements like the FLIR Proprietary Digital Detail Enhancement. You can save 320 x 240-pixel JPEG images and AVI videos to an SD memory card or relay 320 x 240-pixel NTSC or PAL videos to external displays and recorders. To enhance user experience, the bi-ocular offers a simple but effective control pad, red status LED, and an in-view menu.

This thermal imaging device is packaged into a lightweight, durable, and ergonomic polymer body. Its rubberized covering provides a non-slip grip, and its rubber eye guard offers comfort and protects eyepiece optics from rain and snow. To provide effective use of the bi-ocular optic to anyone, the eyepiece section offers an intra-ocular adjustment. The housing also has two hands traps for handheld operation and 1/4"-20 socket for use on a tripod.
