Lunt Solar Systems' LS50THa 50mm f/7 Refractor Solar Telescope is ideally suited for beginner solar observers or as a grab-and-go option for fast sessions. It features a 50mm objective lens and an internal etalon with a <0.75 Angstrom bandpass. The scope is offered here with a 4mm blocking filter in a star diagonal configuration. It fits in the helical focuser and accepts 1.25" eyepieces for visual observation.
Integrating the etalon into the optical path reduces interference and distortion which can occur with externally mounted filters. True Doppler Tuning allows for a shift into and away from the user for a richer depth of field. While looking at a filament at the center of the Sun, the user has the ability to Doppler shift from the base of the filament to the tip, following the filament through its structure toward and away from them, allowing for enhanced visual and imaging capability.
Complementing the optical performance and technologies is a 1.25" helical focuser. This type of focuser has a rotating collar around the filter holder in place of the focusing tube which reduces the overall length of the telescope while maintaining the ability to achieve a fine focus. This solar scope is offered here without a mount or tripod, but is outfitted with a mounting base that has a 1/4"-20 thread for attaching it to most tripods or compatible mounts.

iOptron CubePro GoTo Alt-Az Mount
iOptron's CubePro GoTo Alt-Az Mount sports a compact mount design that measures a mere 8x5x5" while being a functional & flexible motorized computer-controlled unit for most star gazing duties. Both axis motors are built into a small single unit which is compatible with all telescope OTAs with a Vixen-style dovetail plate up to 8lb including accessories. The unique design eliminates "dead spots" enabling you to point your telescope to any point above the horizon, unlike other mounts which tend to block the telescope tube at certain points of rotation. This mount comes with a 110 VAC adapter to power it if you're near civilization, but if you're heading off the grid it can run on eight user-supplied AA batteries. Included with the mount is the Go2Nova 8401 computer controller. This handheld unit features a 130,000 object database with 256 user-defined customizable objects for your favorite celestial bodies. The easy-to-use menu-driven system displays on a 8-line 21-character back-lit screen. This fully GoTo-capable unit has automatic tracking for fast moving near-space objects such as the Sun, Moon and planets, and slower moving deep-sky objects like nebulae and galaxies. It also has custom speeds that users can program themselves if they are imaging or taking medium-exposure skyscape photos. For set-up or manual use it has nine slew speeds starting at 1x and topping out at 4°/sec. To make sure you get observing faster, the controller has multiple alignment procedures, plus a 32-channel GPS receiver that provides the mount with accurate day/time/location information. For improved tracking, you have the ability to program out periodic errors that might occur during long-duration tracking, and there is also backlash compensation to eliminate settling that might occur at certain points due to the gaps in the gears. The Go2Nova controller is powered by the mount to make use easier and simple while reducing the unit's weight.

Use Lunt Solar Systems' short Vixen-Style Dovetail Plate to attach a telescope optical tube assembly (OTA) to compatible mounts. The 4" long plate is intended for shorter OTAs, and is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with a black scratch and corrosion-resistant anodized finish. The plate has four mounting holes tapped with 1/4"-20 threads and comes with two mounting screws.
