The GoPro 8 is physically larger than the 7 which fits the super suit very tightly. So the GoPro 8 will not fit.

The housing does not have a 1/4"-20 mount available. An additional tripod accessory mount is required for 1/4"-20 attachment.

I'm looking to use my go pro 5 on my daughter's softball catcher's helmet. Can it provide protection and durability on the softball field?
This product is water proof and protects against dust and debris. However it will not withstand a fast moving object like a softball being hit off of it. You would be using a GoPro at your own risk under such a circumstance.

Unfortunately no. For the GoPro Hero 11, you will need the GoPro Protective Housing for HERO9/HERO10 Black (BH #GOADDIV001 • MFR #ADDIV-001).

Do you have to take your GoPro apart for the case to fit? I was told you how to remove something from your GoPro surrounding the lens or something to that effect..
Yes, the lens cover has to be removed to use this case. It's easy to do. The waterproof case works great I recommend it. Don't let the lens cover removal deter you. It's no big deal.
