the hdmi cable is a little thicc but the tradeoff is the connector doesn't stick out as far as other hdmi cables i've used. i LOVE that it came with a usb power cable, even if it is a tad long (i mounted this on my camera rig because i needed to get an hdmi signal for the onboard display as well as a teradek)

We use this to split a single Chromecast stream to two TVs. Works perfectly. No loss of quality on either TV. It's nice to have the USB power option to keep the cables tidy.

Does not work with BMPCC 6K HDMI

I bought this for a film shoot for my BMPCC 6K as I have a shoot coming up where I need a feed to my SmallHD Focus 7 monitor and a wireless video feed. While the splitter works fine for AppleTV to 2 HDMI monitors, it does not work with the BMPCC 6K to separate feeds, no signal comes out, my Focus 7 would flash briefly, and nothing showed on the external HD monitor. Do not buy if you're needing a splitter for video tap.

I want to use a portkeys bm5 and an atem mini pro with my bmpcc 6k. both need HDMI capabilities, will this splitter allow me to accomplish what I need?
Asked by: Dillon
In theory yes this should work. This takes a single HDMI input and splits it out to two. However you are not going to be able to control the Pocket 6K from the ATEM Switcher like you would with a direct connection.

question

If there is no audio input via 3.5mm jack, do the 3.5mm output jacks send HDMI audio? Will each output need amplification?
Asked by: Devon
You have the option of sending the audio via the HDMI or the 3.5mm output. That audio will have to go through an audio system.
