The misty mint AK70 Portable High-Resolution Audio Player and USB DAC from Astell&Kern uses the Cirrus Logic CS4398 chip and supports 24-bit/192 kHz bit-to-bit type playback. The 64GB of on-board storage can be expanded with a microSDXC card (maximum 128GB).
32-bit audio is downsampled using a sample-rate converter, and DSD 64/128 can be played back through conversion to PCM. The AK70 player sports 3.5mm, 3-pole unbalanced and 2.5mm, 4-pole balanced headphone jacks. The balanced output is capable of removing noise (common mode noise) that can occur in signal and inverting amplifier signal, and has the strength of increasing output due to its double transmitting signals.
The audio player supports USB audio digital out and allows you to connect diverse digital-input portable amps through USB. It can transfer DSD in native through DoP and also convert 5.6 MHz DSD into PCM for output to portable amps that do not support DoP.
The AK70 music player can be used with a USB DAC that can double as an embedded sound card by connecting with a Windows or Mac computer through the USB port. The AK70 will simplify the playback of DSD files on your computer.
The player is designed with an oblique angle on one side of the body so that it can fit the contour of the user's thumb. The volume wheel is designed to be protruding slightly from a concave surface so that you can control volume with a simple motion of sliding your finger up and down. In addition, the player comes in an anodized aluminum casing.
