Picture Quality
This adapter cable converts a DisplayPort connection to an HDMI output and supports 4K video quality, which is four times the resolution of 1080p. With support for high-definition resolutions of 1080p and 720p, it is backward compatible with lower resolution displays and video sources.

Did not interface between MacBook Pro and the monitor

This cable was not able to interface between my MacBook Pro and the DVI port on my Samsung S27C450 27" monitor. I would not recommend this cable for this particular pairing!

Tried to replace a working DisplayPort to HDMI converted connected via HDMI to monitor that was working. This cable did not work. I restored the connection via converter to cable to monitor and it worked fine.
