I have not found an accessory that is this durable and reliable at both connectivity and power delivery for external devices.

Smk-link USB Type-C Multi-Port

I went ahead and give it a 5 Star rating for now, seems to work fine, every port works, I noticed others talked about heating issues, it does get hot, specially if it’s being used without power going into it. Meaning plug your MacBook pro USB-C power brick into it, without that, based on my testing it does get hotter. Well it’s only been about 2 weeks. Great little product. Hope it last, it will last by applying a fan directly at it. Remember when it comes to technology our biggest enemy is heat...

I love this docking station hub. It allows me to charge my Iphone at some time. I wish it didn't get so hot but I disconnect as so as it's charged.

I have bought three of these hubs. They work great, and the variety of input ports give me the flexibility that I need.

question

Has anyone actually tried charging a MacBook Pro through this hub? It says it works but also says it is limited to 18 Watts which is less than the smallest MacBook Pro power adapter.
Asked by: Jeffrey P.
The USB-C port is capable of charging devices up to 18W and the Macbook Pro can be charged through the USB-C port as it only uses it as a pass-through for charging.
