Kenko TELEPLUS HD 1.4x for Canon EF Reviews

Works Well

Used this with a 6ti and a 55-250mm IS lens The additional zoom is nice, image quality seems ok, loss of 1 stop is not a problem by day. Auto focus is a little bit sluggish with the teleconverter, but it still functioned acceptably. I’m happy with the purchase until I can afford a longer lens.

Excellent !

Kenko TELEPLUS HD DGX 1.4x Teleconverter for Canon EF/EF-S Lenses I got this recently. It effectively turns my EF S 55 - 250 canon lens into a 500 telephoto. Autofocus and stabilization work quite well. I am quite pleased.

Can anyone confirm if this teleconverter does or does not work specifically with the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 is II USM lens and the EF-M adapter on the M50 camera?
Asked by: PAUL
I've tested both the 1.4 and 2.0 Kenko TELEPLUS models and neither works with the Canon EOS M50 (mark 1), the Canon EF-M Lens Adapter and the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM Lens. As with other tested teleconverters, there is no power supplied to the lens (the LCD does not display) and the camera also displays a blank screen (no menus or anything).

Asked by: Mark
Kenko TELEPLUS HD DGX 1.4x Teleconverter for Canon EF/EF-S Lenses will work with M50II camera and CANON EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM telephoto zoom lens if you also get this adapter: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/883406-REG/Canon_6098b002_EF_M_Lens_Adapter_Kit.html Autofocus will be slow and may not work in low light situations since the aperture will be narrower
