HUBSAN H502E overview

  • 1Description

The Hubsan H502E Desire is an X-configuration RC quadcopter that features video recording capability. The drone's onboard camera can record 720p HD video or photo to a microSD card. A GPS-backed flight controller provides autonomous functions, such as automatic return home and altitude hold. This is a ready to fly drone that includes a flight battery and USB charger. The transmitter requires four AAA batteries, available separately.

Return Home with Failsafe
Thanks to a GPS-backed navigation system, the H502 is able to remember its "home," or takeoff, point. If connection is lost with the transmitter, Failsafe Mode will engage, causing the quadcopter to automatically return to the home point and land. You can also manually trigger Failsafe Mode via a switch on the transmitter
Altitude Hold Mode
In this mode, based on readings from a barometer, the H502 will maintain a fixed altitude. Horizontal movement, as well as rotation (yaw), will still be enabled

    HUBSAN H502E reviews

H502E X4 Desire Quadcopter with 720p HD Camera is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid it! Really dissapointed. I paid the quadcopter+shipping+local taxes, and what i got it's a thing that can't even start the motors. The problem it's that I can't calibrate the quadcopter, so it won't start. Apparently there's a limitiation in it's compasses and, dependending on where you are, it might (or might not) work, according to the Magnetic Declination of the location... Never before read about this limitation; there should be a WARNING signal before buying it here (neither there's such information in hubsan's website) So, be careful before buying it and make sure that it'll work were you are. For me, it only result in a waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible do not buy If i could give it less stars I would. This is the worst purchase ever! I turned it on, followed the directions to bind the transmitter and start the rotors. It would just take off and fly away without me touching a button. I would never buy this again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quad-copter for beginners I love this guy. I have a UDI RC UDU818A-1 Discovery Quadcopter with HD Camera but I wanted to upgrade to something with GPS stabilization. Lots of video reviews on YouTube and they were all relatively positive. Overall it's a great flyer to learn on. I thought it was equipped with headless mode but I do not see that function in the instructions. Pretty durable (already had a few crashes). Video quality is comparable to the UDU818 HD camera. Next step will be the Mavic Pro once I'm comfortable with this little guy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice! Like the drone fly's awesome, but I found out it most likely was a old first release model because it did not have headless mode . and the latest versions now have ball bearings not plastic bushings like mine has. see my video review of it here.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Purchase Very difficult to calibrate. When calibration complete, copter not responsive to controls. Used 8 times with control issues. On flight 8, copter disappeared and did not respond to Return Home Feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would definitely not buy again! Do not purchase. Hard to calibrate. Copter not responsive to controls. Does not fly well; unstable. When up in the air, hard to orient direction. Buy more expensive quadcopter with better responsiveness.
